Hi everyone! Just wondering if there are any other Phcc lpn applicants going crazy out there? The waiting is killing me, and I'm afraid my husband might murder me if I don't stop Freaking out lol. Between stalking the mail carrier and talking about it all the time, he is over it. Can't blame him either. So just looking to see if any others are doing the same.
Hey girls...
I found the forms online on PHCC's webiste. In the student handbook, it lists what we need to have done. So, I guess that solves that! lol
CynMar- I hear ya on never wanting anything more.. second to your kid! I have a daughter, so I totally relate! I want this so bad, so I am definitely praying and pulling for us to get in :)
Hopefully soon we will all be classmates!!
Hey guys! Cynmar621 welcome to freak out corner lol. I too do have pasco residency. And I to both you and springhopeful was told that we can go see the dean of the program and inquire about the forms and such. I didn't get to do that today with my classes and study groups. But it is Def worth checking out.
We can go to the Dean and ask for them? Well, awesome!
Good to know. The handbook says form SAR-40 and the limited access programs section of the PHCC site has all the forms needed that are downloadable. I was just going to download those, but maybe I will pop in and ask the Dean to make sure I have all the right stuff! Thanks Redsox!!
Cynmar- I like the way you think, keep up the positivity:) Maybe we can all will it to happen!
I reallllllllllly hope we get called!
U R Welcome! Yes, you have to have a physical. They require Polio Vaccine and Tetorifice, but they take your word on those. You also have to have a positive titer (blood work) showing immunity to Rubella or a documentation of a booster (MMR) within 3 years. Same with Varicella (chicken pox). And PPD (tuberculin). If you're positive for PPD you must have a chest x-ray. Hepatitis B immunization is recommended but you can sign a waiver if you don't want it. And finally a flu shot is required. I hope that all makes sense.
A criminal background check is required. They ask you use their company. A urine sample is requested for drug check. Then of course the BLS course. Let me know if anything doesn't make sense or any other questions....
Thanks for all the info everyone. Wow, freak out corner is right sometimes I feel nervous but sometimes I feel excited....but don't really know how to feel until we know for sure we're in. But now a little more positive after all the insight you gave Redsox 78 about the 10 spots and probably will be called.
Question...what is BLS?
Good night and here's to each day getting us closer to getting our "Acceptance" calls.

Springhopeful - Thank you for your welcome. Good luck to you as well!
Rexsoxgirl78 - You just made my whole day! If there are 10, we are 3 of them!
I wonder if one of the other girls you two have been talking to would be able to share that information so you can go ahead and go to dr? I have just given up my seat at Erwin for the LPN class that started tomorrow so I had to do all the immunizations they required. I'm thinking they are the same. I didn't recall any of my dr's from growing up but if you do and/or have any of the records when you go in for your physical they can note them and do any titers you may need. I wish I had my form because I could tell you what they are. If I recall they were MMR, Chicken Pox, Tetorifice and a TB test. It was also a general physical health check. But that was for Erwin. Well prayers that all our answers will be resolved here by Friday! Never wanted anything so much second to my son. I'm sure you can relate to me. :)
