Hi everyone! Just wondering if there are any other Phcc lpn applicants going crazy out there? The waiting is killing me, and I'm afraid my husband might murder me if I don't stop Freaking out lol. Between stalking the mail carrier and talking about it all the time, he is over it. Can't blame him either. So just looking to see if any others are doing the same.
I hate when you write a whole response and then erase it. I'll do it again..
The drug test -
1 - Go to https://www.selectatest.com
2 - select phcc under the box titled drug screen
3 - select add to cart
4 - select view cart
5 - select lab facility (chose only a quest site)
6 - after checking out and agreeing to t&c complete the order, the next page will state your payment has been received and is in process
7 - a payment confirmation will be sent to your email address - make sure it has your name and amt paid. Print this and bring to nursing office
It can be turned in with everything else.
Hope this helps.
Look... one more month to orientation. And I know what Santa is bringing me this year... a stethescope.
Ok, acceptance turned in, packet picked up, background in process, drug screening paid for, need to register and do CPR and dr's appt to get flu and updated SAR 40 on Thursday. I went into wal mart and tried on a pair of scrubs for fun. But yes, I am waiting until Orientation. How exciting. Looking forward to studying hard and making sure we all pass with flying colors. Have a great night!

They do. LOL! Phew! Like some of you, I'll wait until orientation, in fact I think it says to do that, to buy some things. I'm very excited.
What will your schedules be like after class? Wondering if you would be able to stay on campus and study for 1-2 hours a day after? This program can be intensive so we really can help each other and grind it out.
Will any of you be working?
What are your names again? I remember Colleen but can't recall who that is.
Okay, have a great day!!!!!
I'm Colleen. I live in Spring Hill. I am a single mom to a six year old girl who takes the energy right out of me. Right now I work part-time at a local pet store. I have my own patients there - dogs. But I don't think I'll be working once school starts. I'm not sure yet. If I did it wouldn't be more than ten hours a week.
I definitely want to do some kind of study group, but I just don't know if I would be able to do it everyday.
You have a great day too!
That is weird..when I wrote my last post I didnt even see yours.
I am probably good to stay later and study. I think my hubby will pick our daughter up after work in the afternoons. On days when he has late meetings and such I wont be able to tho.
I definitely think study groups are a great idea. I refuse to fall behind or be one of those that drop out!
I know some past lpn classes have made facebook pages to relay info, ask homework-study questions and stay connected.
Do any of u use fb or want to do that? We can chat on here just as easily...but just a thought.
I think that's a good idea. I have noticed that once the semester starts most of them slow down. But why not? Does anybody else want to do this? I guess there are only four of us on here anyways for right now. I see sometimes there are some visitors looking, but that could be one of us just not signed in. Do you want to make the page or...?
Colleen I am a single mom too. My son is 9 years old and very active as well. I'm working right now as an Accounting Assitant but hope not to be working or working part time and/or evenings come start of school. Until school gets out in June he is in afterschool and his dad picks him up until 6pm. I plan on staying at the school and studying until I need to pick him up so that I am disciplined to study.
What is the proof of boosters? I had some of those immunizations and they did blood work and proved that I did but I did receive some of them, how do I document that?

I'm not sure where we pay for it, but I think it is most likely the bookstore. I need to look through the paperwork again to be sure...if it doesn't say there, I will just call :)
