PHCC Hopefuls for spring 09

Published

Any Pasco/Hernando- PHCC hopefuls? I just applied to the Lpn program last week, waiting is the worst. Anybody else out there in the same boat?

oh i know! So are you starting your financial aid now then? I bet we will hear something by the end of this week. If not for sure the next. I hope by then i dont have a heart attack! I need to know. I just dont think its nice to keep all of us waiting so long, ya know?

I agree, this waiting this is crazy. Yes, I have started the financial process, I need to figure out how I'm paying for this. I did call the school and talk to admissions about when we will find out, and she said middle to end of the month is usually the case. Like you said, any day. Yeah!!!! I will post when I hear something. Good Luck to everyone!!!

I am planning on applying to PHCC for the Fall 09 class. Can any of you ladies tell me if it is worth applying as I am from Hillsborough county and they say that they give preference to people who live and/or work in Pasco/Hernando county.

Seeing that they only take 60 or so, is it even worth it? Also, on their site, they list MIcrocomputers as a prereq but in their notes, they say that they would also accept English for Spring 09. Do any of you know which one they required for you and what is the one that will be required next Fall? It makes a difference to me as I have completed both but I have a better grade in one.

Good Luck.

p.s if you don't mind sharing , what are your GPAs and NET scores? I'd like to see how much of a chance I have.

Thanks.

Honestly, I heard the same, about being out of the county. I would still go ahead and try, what does it hurt. I applied to the LPN program, so GPA is of no concern. I did get a 91 on the NET, but still haven't heard if I will get in. It all depends on who is applying during that session. Sorry I couldn't be much help.

Thanks for answering and good luck. I will still apply. Can you tell me if the NET had a science portion? Also, how did you find the math and reading section? Should I study conversions? i.e kg, mml, etc

Thanks

It did have science, but I don't think they count it. Those were the questions that I didn't have a clue.

a lot of us r still waiting on acceptance letters for spring 09. the wait is horrible!!! they say the end of oct. at the latest.

a lot of us r still waiting for spring 09. u r right the wait is horrible!!! the end of oct. is the latest, hopefully when we know something.

Has anybody heard anything yet from phcc? I'm going crazy!*wine

same thing that was posted earlier, maybe Nov. now. I'm not quite sure what is up with that. I feel as though they are waiting till the last minute and I have alot to get in order prior to starting, if I get accepted.:crying2:

For all of you who have applied to PHCC- RN prgoram, can you tell me if you have completed all of your GE requirements in addition to the 12credits for pre reqs? i.e, have you completed all:

BSC 1085 Human Anatomy and Physiology I

BSC 1085L Human Anatomy and Physiology I Laboratory

CGS 1100 Microcomputer Applications

PSY 1012 Introduction to Psychology (or PSY1012H/Honors)

HUN 2201 Science of Human Nutrition

Lifespan-Dev Psych

Eng 1

Microbiology 1 and lab

A &P 2 and lab

Ethics

I intend to apply for Fall 09 and I am trying to do as much as possible. I'm just not sure if it is necessary to have all of the GE classes completed before applying. I won't have Microbiology by the time I apply but I will have it before the program starts.

Thats exactly how i feel KK. This is making me a nervous wreak. I need to know so i can start to find what i am going to do with my little ones. I am going to have to find daycare for about 2 hrs a day. I dont want to get the ball rolling unless i know...
