I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!
I'm sorryAre you going to look into a private school or wait and reapply?
Chin up - everything happens for a reason .
Transition program
I will probably wait. I just can't see myself going back to private school. They will require me to retake classes I have already taken (because they want your money and will only accept so many credits). I am completely done with every class for PHSC, so that would be perfect considering I could just focus on nursing. I am just feeling F'd over from Rasmussen because my GPA is 3.1 only because they hold your grades to a higher standard. So all of my Bs that I have from them are really A's (93%) and my one C was an 85%. PHSC also has an F on my transcripts from a class I never took with them and they denied my appeal but I plan to write another letter this year. I am also scared about reapplying next year due to the fact that 25 spots will go to paramedics. I am so confused and I feel trapped. I guess I will spend this next 10 months trying to improve my scores. I already signed up for classes for fall (that I don't need but figured another 4.0 will improve my GPA a little) and I will work hard on improving my TEAs score. And I will hope that they drop that F!
I guess things do happen for a reason. I will take this as a sign to just spend this next year enjoying my 6 year old and my 6 month old.
What about the online schools like Excelsior? Excelsior College | Associates Degrees Nursing | Nursing Degrees, Programs | Distance
I dont know much about it but I do know there are tons of threads on this site that has a lot of info and success stories.

Yeah, that's what I thought
Well that's unfortunate. I would hate to wait an entire year because of one class, but that's what it's looking like. Thank you!
