PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!

Published

I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

magdikarp what were your scores

GPA 3.1 but my TEAS was 64.9. Yes I know its horrible. I did study for it too. I am a Pasco resident. :sorry:

Hey guys! Can you guys please post your scores after you receive your letters because I am here in New York and won't get my mail until Saturday! :dead: So at least I can compare. Good luck everyone!

Dont get down on yourself too bad thats not horrible scores. I took the TEAS 5 times. Theres people who take it once and get 80s ya know. Its not an easy test AT ALL. Good luck hun no matter what you will be fine!!! TTYT! Good Luck!

If we passed the lpn we are SO good enough for the bride its unfair they keep testing us to see

My friend from last year got a score of 96 on his first try on the Teas.

MamaBerry,

Master??? LOL

Congratulations! You'll be really busy, LPN is not so easy!

Emailing the package is new, first time. For the Spring we got it still be post. They'll start emailing after receiving your confirmation of accepting the seat. It took 1-2 weeks for the mail, but since it is emailed now, might not take that long.

Good luck!

Jupiterxo,

I bought the "Dickies" white pants, super soft and comfortable. You can buy any other brand. Almost nobody bought the pants from the college store. As to the shoes, we all got a pair of white sneakers. The nursing shoes are not very comfortable besides most of them are not closed on the back which is not acceptable to school. Since you are identified by your scrub, you cannot put a jacket on top but you can get one of those simple white long sleeves stretch blouses and wear it under your top, if you're cold. Some students got a good one from JCP. White undies are better.

Don't rush, you'll not need all these for the first 4-5 weeks. They will tell you early enough during the lab at campus.

ababs,

You pay semester by semester. You'll get the approximate cost for each semester in your package!

ScarletJones,

No, you only wear scrubs during clinicals at hospital, not at campus!

i wish someone would have asked about the lpn letters

Guys. I. Need. The. Transition. Letter. In. My. Life. :dead:
