I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

Any updates guys!? How are your semesters going this far? I'm finished with my prereqs, just working on gen eds (algebra and ancient world humanities) this semester and next. Studying like a crazy person for the TEAS in what spare time I have between school and working-I am hoping to take it for the first time here in mid-March! Hope you are all doing well and staying motivated! :)

Hi there,

I am also wrapping up my pre-reqs this semester and am going to be applying for fall 2014.

I will need to take the TEAS pretty much at the last minute and I'm nervous about what content will be on there. I found some practice stuff online but I probably won't get start studying until April.

i'm in 4 classes right now and am about to start another express class next month. Crazy doesn't even begin to describe my feelings...:D

i can't believe only 24 seats are up for grabs at the west campus....scary.

best of luck to you all!!!

ScarletJones,

I think you're mistaken. There are definitely 48 seats at the west campus!

Nuscha,

For the fall term, it is 24 seats. See 4th bullet >> Special Notice | Pasco-Hernando State College.

Its a little intimidating :nailbiting:

How many applicants do you think they usually have?

That seems like a pretty low number. 24 seats per campus sounds more reasonable.

anyone getting ready to apply for phcc fall nursing program? how did everyone's

teas test go?

I havent taken the TEAS yet - I need to finish these classes and I'll be taking the TEAS once this semester ends but before the deadline.

Cant believe its around the corner!

I would like to adjust my GPA by re-taking two courses in which I received B's (Intro to Psychology and Micro-apps)...but I've heard once you have received a grade of C or higher, you are stuck with that grade and are not allowed to retake the course. Does anyone have any input on this??? By the way I am finishing my prerequisites A&P I lecture+lab and will be taking the TEAS once the semester is over. In addition to the RN program I am considering the LPN program as my "back-up plan". Good luck to you all hopefully there is room for all of us!!!

I'm not sure if you can take the courses over...hopefully someone else can weigh in. Best of luck to you!!

Is anyone studying for the TEAS? If so, what material are you using?

I've seen a lot people mention the ATI study guide.

From my understanding PHCC has grade forgiveness, where you can can redo a class if you do not like your grade. I just do know how many classes you can retake.

Any idea of how many applicants there are typically for fall semester?

Other than PHSC, I do not believe there is anyone that can truly say for sure the average number of students that are applying for the nursing program this fall. Those numbers can truly vary year to year. What I do know is, I have no plan on only applying to PHSC.
