PHCC Fall 2013 hopefuls

Just wanted to see who all is applying for any program in the fall.

I'm going to be applying for the generic RN and LPN program for backup.

I decided no Rasmussen just yet. Going to retake teas and try phcc one more time. As much as I don't want to wait I have a Florida prepaid fund with another two years left. If I go to rasmussen I would have to cash out and take on loans on top of that.

Same to you Mike, I went to get all my stuff, and they had only one of the books. I got all the other stuff, but they weren't sure which patch I needed at first and did not know where on the uniform it goes. I will have to do some research! Good luck

After going to financial aid and finding out only my books and tuition are covered, I went up to the Lab Assistant that said she had extra uniforms. They had 2 sets of scrubs in my size...FREE! The patches were already on it, on the upper left side. I can get a picture and send it to you if you want.

Went to orientation today:) Was originally scheduled for West Campus but now I will be at East Campus:))) I love East campus

So, it says we will be going over the course manual the first day of school. I have purchased all the books and I didn't see any manual? Does anyone know if we get that at the book store or do we get it the first day? Also the book store did not know what the PHCC handouts were? One lady said it might be the nursing handbook?

Looks like PHCC handout is the manual, I called and asked the nursing dept.

The RN Student Handbook is available on the PHCC web site,nursinghandbook-rn.pdf, Nurse-Practice-Act.pdf, we filled out a paper that said we recieved it in our original pack, we are supposed to print it up (about 60 pages so make sure you have ink) and bring it on the first day. At orientation they said it was being updated and it would be available when it was finished, so keep checking the links.
