Hello Fellow Students,
Any suggestions on pharmacology study cards. I heard about Mosby's pharmacy study cards as well as Howard Shen's Illustrated Memory Cards for Pharmacology. Please help I need this info asap. Thanks for any assistance.

I like those Mosby illustrated memory notecards. They are awesome! It really does help you to remember things about drugs that you need to know. I"m a visual learner so I really need these kinds of things to help get the info to stick in my head :chuckle
Thank you Faeriewand,
I'm really surprised that I have not gotten many responses.

Even with my med cards, when I was a student I would get the large colored index cards and write info about the drug to study from. I found that reading it, writing it, color-coding it (cardiac, analgesic, narcotic, etc) helped me remember better.
Oh that's a good idea!

I make my own. We usually have to have some type of pharm card filled out for clinical so from Office Max I bought blank post-cards. They come in a regular 8.5 X 11 sheet, but are divided into 4 post-cards. Then I just type the info about the drug onto the card - print - and voila, I have instant flashcard.
Then I was using like a coupon holder to keep them organized, but I just found a little index card binder - and think I will try to use that instead. I found this is a nice thing to bring to clinical, it helps me to find commonly used drugs quickly. I haven't quite figured out how to organize it. That will be a task for this summer, but I think I will use my pharm text as a guide. I just got the Mosbys too - haven't used it much - yet!
I do the same thing for pathophys cards - just use bigger index cards. Plus with everything saved it is easy to cut and paste into different documents as needed.
