PearsonVUE TRICK WORKS!! I was hoping it did not.

Published

I read the forum about the "PearsonVUE Trick"... ((not sure what is? look up the thread "pearsonvue trick"))

I thought that this can't be true, but what have i got to lose. I read everyone's post about it being successful and correct about 100 times, and reading about failing once (because they didn't have a SSN or something like that). nonetheless it seemed 99% accurate, and it made sense to me why it would work. First of all, pearsonvue who administers the NCLEX has it graded after every question during the exam. why would they not know your score after you have finished? i didn't try the "trick" right after, because i was unaware, but i tried it during the weekend.

((i took the test on a Thursday in CA, and would find out results the following Tuesday.))

i went the full distance (265 Q's) and was extremely worried and not confident AT ALL. i KNEW i could've focused more and not go on Facebook so much :down:.

i did the trick and was able to continue to the credit card screen, but didn't want to put my CC info to submit. i wanted to compare with other classmates the point at which the "prompt" appears telling you that you can't re-register. unfortunately it appears prior to inputting your CC info.

long story short: i took 265 Q's NCLEX... worried... read about pearsonvue trick... tried it... took me to CC screen... failed!

the positive: it eased the pain of knowing i failed.

the negative: job was lined up, gotta tell classmates i failed, gotta email the manager that i can't start on agreed date, gotta study another 45 days, gotta do all this over!

Sorry to hear that you failed. It is not uncommon though. I know many great nurses who failed the first time through. I even know of a nurses aide, who graduated in 2002, took the NCLEX 6 times, and never passed...

Did you take a review course such as Kaplan? I would suggest taking a course like that...it's expensive, but I think it really helped.

Good luck!!

sorry about that. Be strong and study again. I faild three times in nclex pn but passes the fourth time after doing suzan,s plan. Only use saunder's do not use any other books or review classes. I was supriesed when I found out that all what I have to do is study that book . I had it all along,But I was so sad and I wanted to pass . please trust me. I told 2 of my classmate to try and study that book but they didn,t trust me and went to review clss($300) and they fail. good luck

don't feel bad.

I know a few people who failed the canadian version of this test the first time but flew by the second time.

It will work out for you in the head.

Just take a breath and tell yourself you have 45 days to master this.

You know how the test works, so work on what you feel will make you pass next time.

Good luck and don't be bummed!

Did you get official notification that you had failed? or are you saying you feel certain you did because of the Pearsonvue page letting you go all the way to the CC payment page. I just sat for the NCLEX-PN 6 days ago and had to wait for pass/fail notification by mail. I felt certain that I had not passed the exam because it was a select all that apply nightmare. In my state PN testers can not get online verification of passing, so the night before I got official notification in the mail, I did follow the instructions to try the re-register deal on the site. It gave me the assumption that I may have passed, but thought I can't believe anything until I get the real deal in the mail. I'd like to know if folks have done this and finally found out their results were opposit of what this "trick" shows during the re-register on the P-vue site?

Thanks everyone. I have accepted it for what it is. I took the test on thursday, and people who took it with me that day got their results back. People who took it on Friday got their results back 1 day sooner than expected (which was the day i was suppose to find out with the other people i took it on thursday).

I haven't heard or read of the "trick" working opposite of what the "trick" is suppose to do. seems pretty reliable.

I tried this trick the morning after I took the test and it blocked me from the pay page with a popup after I filled out my school information. I got all 265 questions on the test and was completely sure I had failed until doing this trick. Two days later I found out I passed. This was on Friday, July 31, 2009. It worked for me.

I'm sorry you failed! I, too, can attest this works. I took my test in January of 2008 and had no idea about this trick, BUT I was so sure I failed that I tried to go ahead and re-register to take the test again, but it blocked me from doing so. I did pass, so it worked for me. (And unfortunately, since I knew nothing about this trick, it didn't make me feel any better!)

Better luck to you next time.

Hey Mike, please keep us posted on when you get your official results or if anything changes.

I'm in the same boat as you. Went full 265 and the "trick" wasn't successful.

aw I am sorry about this. I took it twice so I know what a bummer it can be. But listen just because you have to take it again doesn't make you any less of a nurse. Just think of it as a speed bump.

You will pass next time!

im in the same boat. took 265 qs and failed. but you know what as much as it stinks and hurts to fail and loose self-esteem this test does not mean you are a good or bad nurse. i know i will be a great nurse but this is just a little bump in the road to maybe make me learn and realize something. but we can do it! we now have the advantage of being in the testing center and sitting for the test, so the nerves will be a little easier. but yes still will be stressful. but we can do it. what i did when i failed was take 4-5 days off to cry and be upset and then i picked myself up and continually told myself i can do it and have slowly gotten back into studying. best of luck to you! keep us posted!

I just took my Nclex RN this morning. I am so anxious to know how I did. I got 75 questions only. I am so hoping I pass. I tried the PVT and I got a message saying something like "our records indicate you already have an account with us" it was not the message I was expecting. Oh well, I just have to wait and have faith.
