Pearsonvue Trick-Latest February 2016

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX RN exam last February 10, 2016 and ended at 210 questions. I did the PVT after 4 hours using my ACTIVE debit card with invalid expiration date(putting all the information &submit), I got the "bad pop up"- telling me to put the correct information.

Then after 24 hours, I tried PVT again using my EXPIRED debit card with invalid expiration date & the result was my payment went through and I even got an email - Acknowledgement of Receipt of NCLEX Exam Registration. (wondering how it went through using a expired debit card-closed account)

Question is if I pass or fail? Can anyone enlighten me please? Does anyone experience this, charging a expired debit card? Thank you.

I took NCLEX yesterday and shut off at 75 questions. I feel like I failed, but, I am getting the good pop up even almost 24 hours out. I have been using a live credit card to do the trick (might as well, if I have to retake it again lol).

You can still get charged (and it's a valid charge) even if you use altered expiration dates. It's also non-refundable per PV's TOS.

We cannot answer whether you passed or failed. All you can do is wait for quick results if available, or notification from your board.

Some people end up getting charged if doing the trick within 24 hours since the test is graded twice. If you fail and end up having to retake the test, use a visa gift card with like 10 bucks when you try the trick. So like another has said, you won't know until you relieve official notice.

I used my expired debit card(closed bank account), put invalid expiration date on it and went through. I got the acknowledgement receipt. Right now, I was thinking how PV does that?

That's an issue for your bank, not PV/the PVT. If the account isn't active, the charge should have been rejected. The result of the "trick" is whether or not it actually attempts to/processes a charge.

I tried the trick once after taking the nclex and got the bad pop up, I tried it once more at night then it charged my card. The next morning my BON posted failed as my result, I should have waited.

Yeah, then I cried my eyes out. Anyway, I took my nclex last January again and never did the trick I patiently waited for my result and thank God I passed. My suggestion is wait for the quick result, check posting on your BON site or the official result this way you wont give yourself a heart attack. I understand it is painful to wait 48 hours or any given hours :nailbiting: I was in the same situation before. There's only two official verdict FAIL or PASS. When you pass - celebrate and go on with your plans, when you fail - pull yourself together and try again. How many ever times you have to take the test don't stop because you may fail in your 9th attempt but passes the 10th time. Once you pass nclex and become an RN it is not like they will hire you or not hire you based on how many times you sat for nclex (i hope). Good luck and God bless. I am hope you passed.

Advanced practice schools, I.e. CRNA, will consider the number of nclex attempts for admission. Along with other factors such as GRE scores and attempts on CCRN exam. Jobs don't care nor ask, but if you wanna do advanced practice one day, you wanna try to pass things on the first try.

Just took the NCLEX RN an hour ago. Tried to re-register with a good VISA gift card and It stated that I could not register since I had already taking the exam.

Hopefully it's not to soon to be a good sign

God gracious, I'm not a first time passer and hoping it wont truly affect me big time when I try for advance practice school. Thanks for the info.

Try again 24 hours after the exam because it's scored twice, but with the holiday weekend, they may not have scored it the 2nd time until Tuesday.

Here is my experience with the "PVT" I took the NCLEX last year and 4 hours later did the PVT with a good ($3 left) VISA gift card. I got the bad "Your card was declined" contact your bank.....Sure enough the next day "Fail"

Took it again Friday and within an hour of the exam, I got the good pop-up and 24 hours later, and low and behold today.......
