Some tester have done this I think ... the trick to re-register again to Pearsonvue . If it lets you register and pay again that means you failed and if stop you from paying that means you passed.
Updated:
Members are discussing their experiences with the NCLEX exam, specifically focusing on the Pearsonvue Trick (PVT) to determine if they passed. Some are sharing their test dates, the "good pop-up" results they received, and the anxiety of waiting for official results. There is also confusion around account blocks, credit card charges, and the implications for exam outcomes.
Well I haven't gotten my result yet and I tried the trick and it lets me pay and went all the way to almost to confirm my order but I didn't ... Does this mean that I failed the NCLEX-PN??
Can someone help me please? I am scared and I can't sleep now. I have another week or two wait for my result ... I stopped at 85. Does this mean I failed the exam?
STEP 1 This is a test. Go To NCLEX Examinations :: Pearson VUE.
STEP 2 Select The 'test Taker Services' Tab At The Top.
STEP 3 Click 'register' On The Right Side.
STEP 4 Click The 'credit Card' Link.
STEP 5 Click The 'sign In' Link In The Second Sentence.
STEP 6 Enter Your Username.
STEP 7 Enter Your Password.
STEP 8 Click The Button.
STEP 9 Click 'register' On The Left Side.
STEP 10 Select Your Test Type.
STEP 11 Click The Button.
STEP 12 Select Your Country.
STEP 13 Click The Button.
STEP 14 Answer The Yes/no Questions.
STEP 1 Select Your Country Again.
STEP 15 Select Your State.
STEP 16 Type In Your City.
STEP 17 Click The Button. A List Of Schools Should Appear.
STEP 18 Select Your School.
STEP 19 Select The Month And Year Of Your Graduation.
STEP 20 Select Your Board Of Nursing.
STEP 21 Click The Button.
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
May I inject a little perspective from someone who's been nursing for almost 30 years? Okay, thanks, here goes:
My circle of friends from nursing school gathered together with our prep books each night at a different friend's house in the months preceding the exam. Those were great times; after a few hours of studying, we'd open the wine or make margaritas or whatever and just have a grand time laughing about the trials of nursing school, continuing to study as well as one can while imbibing. These weeks of shared test anxiety and studying cemented the bonds we had forged during the many trials of nursing school.
To take nursing boards in 1982, we drove 200 miles together to the state capital (the only place the exam was offered), stayed overnight at the home of a generous friend-of-a-friend, and then reported to the "testing center" promptly at 8 a.m. on the day of the exam. The "testing center" was really a dark, cavernous Shriner's Hall bedecked with portraits of serious men in red fezzes, who seemed to glare down upon us, waiting for us to fail.
The exam was paper-and-pencil and took place in an enormous hall, large enough to accommodate all the June graduates from the state of Ohio. It took 4 hours and all of us got the same questions. If you marked the bubble incorrectly on the answer sheet, your answer would be recorded as wrong; no negotiating, no disputing the results, no item feedback, and certainly no "tricks" to figure out if you'd passed. We sat at long tables ("boards") under the watchful eyes of test monitors who roamed the room looking for evidence of cheating. If you needed to visit the restroom, a test monitor would accompany you just to make sure you hadn't squirrelled away a copy of Potter & Perry in the toilet tank before the exam.
My friend Leslie was about 200 weeks pregnant and having constant back pain, so she had to bring along her husband, who sat outside the hall waiting, just in case she went into labor during the exam. The stiff wooden chairs were not easy on Leslie, but she wasn't about to allow constant pain or impending birth keep her from taking the exam. (She passed.)
After six anxious weeks, I got the certified letter saying I had passed. This meant I could go from "graduate nurse" to registered nurse at my job. Most of my friends got that letter the same day.
Sharon, the one friend who did not get her letter that day, had failed, as she finally learned days later. We were told those who failed would be promptly informed so they could make arrangements to study and retake the test (offered only twice a year), but that's not what happened. The day I told her I'd passed, she burst into tears because everyone else had heard. Then she knew in her heart she had not passed, but she had to wait several more days for the official letter - a pretty heartless policy, if you ask me.
Sharon passed on the second try, but meantime had to give up her "graduate nurse" status, which was sort of like an RN internship but with less support, and revert to the duties of a nursing assistant. So she waited 6 months, working for lower wages, as she worried, fretted, studied like heck and lost a lot of sleep.
I was fortunate; I'm good at test-taking and I excelled on boards. Back then, if you got a certain score, you'd be eligible for licensure in any state, and I was pleased to achieve that plateau, even though I didn't move out of state for 30+ years. It was a sort of validation, I guess.
After the test, although we all wanted to go out for a drink (or several!), we got in the car and drove back home, then went our separate ways. Leslie had a healthy baby eventually, and Sharon stayed in nursing for a few years before becoming a flight attendant. I once visited her on the mother-baby unit where she worked, and she was nearly in tears because a stupid MD had screamed at her. The damage done by the thoughtless is immeasurable.
Looking back, I wouldn't change much. Maybe taking the exam in a more friendly environment (no scary Shriner portraits, perhaps chairs with a little padding would be nice). The grandiose portraits only amused me, as I recall, and lower back pain was at least 20 years off. And those study nights with my nursing school buddies, bonding over shared hardship, will never fade from memory. This is what memories are really made of.

Hi guys, So I finally took my Nclex RN today and it shut off in between 170-180 and im totally freaking out now, i had like 18 SATA's. I tried the PV trick just now but when i did i got as far as " it indicates that your record is still in our system or in our system" sometjing lik that wand it sent me a new password?what does it mean?AGGhhh....i feel sick to my stomach , Please help!!!!
I feel the same way too. We tested on the same date. Listen, I just called bvnpt just right now, they said they mailed out my result yesterday. So, maybe your's is on the way too. I tried the trick again today and still not letting me in to the credit card page. I hope we both pass and also to all the test takers.
I called them too and they told me that they sent it yesterday, hopefully I get it today if not tomorrow. I wish we all pass. Goodluck to all of us.
Im from oklahoma and I have done the pearson trick and it will not let me register so I wanted to help add hope to others on whether this really works. I took the test yesterday June 8 and I had to take all 265 questions and it was horrible and Im so scared I failed until I came to this site and seen how many have passed not being able to go to the cc page. I will update when i get the results........
hey everyone! today marks my fourth week of waiting in cali... i've noticed that im getting more impatient/scared/nervous/crazy by the day ( or the minute)! i'm not allowed to reregister, never been to the cc screen. so i guess i'll just keep waiting!! pray for me ! i really need it! good luck to everyone:nurse:
I tested yesterday and tried this so called "trick" as did my friends. We all couldn't get past the school page because a pop-up that said we recently scheduled an exam...blah blah..... so we couldn't get past to the cc page last night and we found out we ALL PASSED today when we looked at the MNBON.
I don't know if that means anything or if it only did that bc we had just taken the test. But it did relieve a little anxiety yesterday.
BTW getting SATA and priority/delegation questions is good. ESPECIALLY when it shuts off at 75, which it did for my friends and I.
Just my perspective:nuke:
Holy Cow!!! Never knew how crazy 48hrs can be. I am new here and this is my first post ever on this site. I found so much relief from this thread that I felt I had to post my experience. I took my exam this past Sunday at 2pm in Texas. I got 75 questions and the darn thing stopped on me. I did not feel like I did well at all. That is totally not how I am...I excelled in nursing school. For the first time I was a total wreck and the anxiety of not knowing was driving me insane. I first search this site looking for How many ppl passing with 75 questions? You get all kind of responses from ppl passing or failing with that amount of questions. Other responses were it doesn't matter the number of questons you take...yada, yada, yada....that is True but not what I was looking for and I felt no relief. Then I stumble on somebody talking about the PV Trick on another thread...and thats how I ended up here. I probably would have slept only 6 hours in the last 48hrs if it weren't for this thread. I got onto here 15hrs after taking my exam and I read through all 1400+ post. Halfway thru reading this I tried the "Treat" and I got the most wonderful pop-up of all time in my life....you know the one that tells you, you can't register now contact your nursing board etc. After reading the rest of the entire thread I felt pretty good. The anxiety went from a 10 to about a 5. The mind plays tricks on you when you are sleep deprived. I was thinking what everyone else that is reading this is thinking..."What if this doesn't work for me?" I have been there too and I know how you are feeling right about now. I was suffering from: Post-nclex paranoia r/t waiting for test result AEB sleep deprivation and excessive ETOH consumption. I was checking Pearson and my BoN every chance I got. I wanted to make sure that the pop-up was not a glitch or something. Sound familiar? I probably did that about 50 times and all 50 times I got the same pop-up. When my 48hrs was up I check TX BoN and found my name listed and I can legally use the initials RN after my name.:beer::beer: I was even so paranoid I paid Pearson the $8 dollar to see my early test result and sure enough it said PASSED!!!! Totally not necessary....but that is just me being very thorough. I even try to register now and I still get the same pop-up.
So here is what I learn from reading everyone's experience:
1) Do this "Treat" properly. Go to www.pearsonvue.com/nclex so there is no confusion and all of us on the same bandwagon. Click on My Account on the right hand side of the screen. Log-in with your userID and password that you used when you initially register for the test on-line. If you did it by phone or scantron....Im not really sure what to do. Sorry.
2) Most important thing when doing this "Treat" is that the status of your exam appointment must say "Delivered Successfully" Doesn't matter if its 1, 2 or 10 hrs after you took the test....it has to say delivered successfully. Otherwise this "Treat" won't work for you until it does. This is the most crucial step of all.
3) When it say delivered successfully, go to the upper left hand side and click on register. Choose either the RN or the PN test. Then hit Next. Select your country. Answer the 3 yes/no questions and it really doesn't matter what you put here...believe me I tried all different combo. Select which school you graduated from, Select the Graduation Date, and the state you are taking your boards for. Then the moment of truth....If you get a pop-up that says "another exam is schedule, you can't register, contact your board member".....breathe and relax...you Passed!!! Seriously....you Passed!!! Unless they changed their system....you Passed!!! Pop the bubbly.
4) If you get to a credit card payment screen....from what I have gathered.....that means you didn't pass....I am truly sorry....but don't give up. Look at it this way....you have a heads up to starting studying and preparing for next time. Don't loose faith....we need help out there in the workforce.
5) Theory behind this "treat" is simple....Pearson knows if you pass or failed as soon as you are done taking the exam....so once the results are delivered....their system knows if you can register again or not. If you pass, their system will block you from double booking them....but if you failed....they are more then happy to charge you again.
6) Please stop calling Pearson about this "Treat" and wondering if it works or not. IT REALLY DOES!!! Think about the theory in #5. We don't want them to change their system. Don't ruin it for future RN Grad....cuz it is the only anxiety relief future nurses will get about their test result. Just spread the word to your friends.
7) Doesn't matter how many question you took, what test you took, or what state you took it in, or even country...as long as its a pearson NCLEX....this "Treat" works!!!
8) I feel really bad for nurses in California....you guys have really long wait time for your results....hang in there and have some relief if you get the most wonderful pop-up to ever grace your computer screen!!!:nuke::nuke::nuke:
Well that is my experience. Kinda long I know....but its better than reading 1400+ responses. I know ppl out there will still be skeptical...and think what if it doesn't work for me, or what if I am the one who got the pop-up and failed....well....it hasn't so far. Unless Pearson changes their system....this is working!!! Just follow the steps correctly. A few ppl who are contradicting this "Treat" later on realize that they messed up the process.
So if this "Treat" works out in your favor....relax a little....and get some sleep. And believe me...after reading this you will still be checking...and wondering what if? I have been there and done that. If you must to keep your sanity then do it....but as for me I am going to bed now!
To all the test takers.....good luck and God Bless.....see you out there soon.....Now all I need is an ICU job? Anyone in Houston wanna give me an offer....Im taking....got a whole lot of student loans to pay back....

I have 3 friends from class that tried the "trick" and it worked for them. They all passed with 75 questions and could not reregistered, got the same message thats been posted on this thread.
I tried the trick myself so Im really praying it works! I stopped at 75 and it wont let me reregister. One thing I noticed was that it said that my results of my test yesterday had been successful sent. So....we shall see in the am!!!
