Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

I sure do hope the PVT trick work for me. I took my N-clex this morning and got the full 265 questions. After that I've been crying all day. I haven't had an appetite, I have an head ache, I don't even want to talk to anyone but Jesus! LOL! (seriously) It's that bad, but I tried this trick and I pray to God it works. If it does I'll be back here to tell you all about it. Thanks for the encouraging post and the new instilled hope.
I took my NCLEX-RN on 5/28/13 and had the full 265 questions. I was surely felt as if I had failed. I went home ad used the pvt about an hour or two after I had finished and got the good popup. I had read of at least one user on this site that had gotten the good popup and failed, so I still was not satisfied, but I felt better. Today I paid the $7.95 to see my quick results and I passed. I can say the pvt works!
You are my inspiration! I had 265 questions as well and was depressed yesterday! I did the PVT trick as well and the good pop up keeps coming up. My faith is boosted and my fingers are crossed
I took nclex on the 21st and I've been getting the "good" pop-up since then. I've been checking the BON website daily (I live in California) but my name has yet to appear. Should I be worried? The anxiety is literally the worst thing I've ever felt. I keep rechecking the pearsonvue website and I keep getting the good pop up but I'm not so sure anymore! Any advice would be awesome.
It can take anywhere from a couple days to a few weeks. If you are super worried, call the Board and ask, "Is my file complete?"
Why? In California, you can sit for your boards (Eligibility Letter + ATT) with an incomplete file just so long as your college's roster got to the board, indicating you graduated. Sometimes a simple transcript is missing. It sucks I know, but it'll literally take 15 minutes of your time and quell your fears.
If you got the "good pop-up," you passed.
I took NCLEX in May of this year & tried the PVT & it told me I could not register again. This was a great sign, however I need something more concrete. In NY you can pay a fee online after 72 hours for unofficial results. Everyone knows that's an extremely long time to be in suspense! I was excited to know that after the long wait, I passed. They also sent a paper with my picture on it from NCLEX verifying this info. I was registered on NURSYS about a month later from my testing date. I received my license about a week after being registered.
So good luck to all & it will be coming soon!

pknurse you were right. I called my school to check if they sent my transcripts and they had not. There was some mistake and they said they were send my transcripts tomorrow. Thank you for your insight! I would've probably been waiting for far longer before calling!
I decided to definitely post this once I confirmed my NCLEX-RN results. I took the exam on 07/02/2013 at 8AM. 75 questions later I was sure that I failed. I was actually devastated when the computer stopped at 75. Drove home, did the PVT, got the good pop-up. After reading 100s of posts, I determined that I must have passed considering that I could never find a false positive. The next day, three of my classmates licenses were posted (took the NCLEX at the same time in the same state). I freaked out. I assumed that I must be the exception to the PVT. Long story short, I paid for the quick results since it's a holiday for the bon. I PASSED. THE PVT WORKS. My classmates who passed got the good pop up as well. One classmate got the cc page and failed. So as far as I can tell the PVT is not a trick.

PVT worked for me!!!!!!!!!
. I was a skeptic after taking the test yesterday afternoon, June 24th. Did the trick an hour after I tested and got the good pop up. Just be sure your test says 'delivery successful' before you attempt it. Otherwise, you will probably get the other message or page every keeps talking about. At 8:00 this morning, I checked my account my name, license#, Active status, Registered Murse!! appeared. Btw, this is on the Virginia BON. There is a separate log in for license look-up than the Public look-up. I didn't know this until my checklist disappeared. I clicked on the link in the initial application account, logged in again and that's when I saw my name.
Tips: Know the Nclex Test Plan. NCSBN tells you everything you need to know to pass this test. Yes, it will be hard. Even for those know it all nursing students, they wont admit it. But guess what, if you test and it ended at 75 Great!! you still got some right and some wrong.. The test determines your competence level at the 50% right or wrong point. Easy ?s right, then it gets harder and it zig-zags like this on the imaginary bar until the test determines with 95% certainty that you passed or failed. Some of you will end at this point, some will end halfway with 100 or so and some at 265. Each person has a different level of competency. That's why most will come out feeling defeated or failed the test. I know I did, but I knew this going that it will be hard. My National Paramedic Test which was also CAT through Pearson Vue was like this and there wasn't a test plan.
So keep your Head up Yall. Believe in yourself....Have confidence.. Pray, eat well, sleep well, and practice ?s, practice, short break, practice, and practice.
Remember, NCLEX RN is a mental Insanity Workout. Are you a SAFE Nurse? It tests your Analysis and Application cognitive ability and NOT just Knowledge or Comprehension Levels which you learned in school. Find the test guide with the Hardest ?s. Do lots of SATA and Priority ?s. Pace yourself....and Remember to Purse Lip Breathe and Whoooosaaahh!:)
Good luck yall
