Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.
Poll to take once you have received your response:
Pearsonvue trick - Poll once you receive your results - nursing for nurses

The Pearson Vue trick is legit. The computer knows if you pass the exam or not immediately. Actual licensing status is pending through the state BON, because they don't get the results immediately, unlike the testing company. I researched this vigorously while awaiting my test results, this was when the old pop-up was still in effect. Although I was certain I had failed, and subsequently drank myself into oblivion, debating my career choice, peason vue indicated I was fine... The next day I awoke in the early afternoon not only hung-over, but feeling defeated and completely incompetent. I refused to even look at the BON website because I dreaded what I would see. A class mate casually text me later that evening, and eventually we got around to NCLEX. She informed me that I passed, and although I was completely certain I did not, I checked the BON website and was an active nurse!
Took nclex today didn't know how to feel about it. Five hours later after have an alcoholic beverage I googled and found out that the max number of questions was 205. I got all 205 for some reason I was under the impression it was 250. Once I realized I got the max number of questions I freaked out and burst into tears for an hr straight and started googling and found the Pearson vue trick. I hope it works in my case because I got the good pop up. I will check In the morning. nervous and depressed

Congrats!! :)
I just took my nclex 2 hours ago and got the origional response a few min ago :"records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact bon. an appointment can not be scheduled at this time"
Does this message still count as good news?
I'm only totally freakiing out right now! I stopped at 87 q on PN. 85 I would have been ok but 87..... I keep thinking that at 85 I was "on edge" and either I got both 86 and 87 right or both wrong. I feel like I totally bombed this test! A lot of it just came from left field.
:-( IF the above still counts, I'm sooo happy if not... well, ....................................................................................

It really works. I took my test yesterday and did the trick. Woke up this morning went on to the state doh website looked up my license and it was active. Good luck!
I have read all the comments about the trick, but seems i never get that good pop up, so its very upsetting, I just took exam again, and i guess i didnt pass, i thought for sure i did well on the exam. i got to 75 questions, and had a lot of which patient first, several of the select all, 2 math a few pharm, and priority questions, i was happy not to get any questions on a topic of a need to know basis, knowing those are low level questions.
but i have contacted pearsonvue and they say its not reliable trick and sometimes you could end up paying that 200 dollars and loose it. But so far all the times i have failed its been accurate, i went again to the cc screen, NOT SURPRIZED any more . It gets very upsetting and ready to say IM DONE
IM really praying to GOD that due to the problems going on with hurricane sandy, that the system is not working properly and that i passed. Very Very Frustrated and SAD....

Am seeing different pop up from everybody who have taking NCLEX recently, or may be because am freaking out. My sister took her test October 29th @ 8am, but took her over 4 hours before she finally get the pop up" Our record indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your board member for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time" What does this indicate? Pass or fail?
