Pearsonvue site update/maintenance (07/18/2015)

Hi! Just to update you guys regarding my situation, I am on my 10th day after taking the nclex exams and I know I still have a long way to wait for my results. Just a recap I tried the pearsonvue twice on the third day after taking the exam and it gave me a bad pop up, after putting a wrong expiration date. So out of my curiosity I just want to try it again tonight, but unfortunately I was not able to go through the credit card page, I think because the site had a maintenance on July 18 and an error always pops up if I tried to make a new registration process. Maybe there is still a glitch in the system or they've again tweaked something in the system idk. Did somebody encountered this also?

It's possible they adjusted the glitch yet again. Before late August 2014 it would state "delivery successful" which indicated the QA/QC of your test ("second scoring") was complete and results transmitted to the BoN and an attempt to re-register would not be permitted if you passed. If you failed you would go through to the credit card page. After August 2014, everyone goes to the credit card page and the notice of ability/inability to register would not appear until you submit CC info. Subsequently there were more "false results" prior to 24hrs post exam.

Sadly many harassed PV and the BoN regarding the perceived validity of the registration glitch known commonly as the PVT. Many test charges and actual charges likely cost the accounting department a lot of time & expense. Combined with the typical need for system updating it would not surprise me if the new software update adjusts the registration glitch yet again.

Guess we'll have to see if any more people post about having such a message. In late August of last year, there was a day on which people who tried the PVT all got a "site down, maintenance in progress" message. It was right after that that it became apparent the software upgrade that was the 'maintenance' in question changed how one would register for future exams. And that everyone was required to go past two screens informing them that any charges they incurred in creating a duplicate registration was non-refundable.

So....now we'll have to see if the number of people charged when they attempt that duplicate registration increases....or if the maintenance did not affect that particular process.

Just curious, what error message did you receive after July 18?

I was going to say something about what PV ought to do with this upgrade but thought better of it.

If PV was smart, they'd charge everyone for trying to re-register. That would stop PVT dead in its tracks.

No bravery involved, just being honest :)

Well you said what I wanted to but my asbestos undies are in the wash. 😆

Yep, sometimes nothing brings on wrath like a good dose of reality.

I have every expectation that at some point Pearson Vue will take every offer of payment, and that will be that, much like making a non-refundable hotel or plane reservation. Once the payment is submitted, it's a done deal. And when PV just charges anyone who uses their online program to set up a new registration for that service, whether another exam is needed or not, people will cry foul, mark my words.

What I don't get is why there are still five States that don't participate in the Quick Results service, which is unfortunate since THOSE results are what really will relieve anxiety!

YES!!! I have no idea why they wouldn't participate in Quick Results. It makes no sense, other than they're being sadistic...LOL :)

I think its the same cause I have entered my credit card details and then hit the next button. Then of course the same as what I have seen on my first attempt of PVT, my card was again declined. Maybe there was still a glitch in the system when I have tried it last night. But today its already functioning as it should be. I don't really know what the pearsonvue peeps did with their system, but I am guessing that maybe they've done something with the system. IDK, :)
