Hi! I just took NCLEX-PN last Friday 02/06 and it stop at 85 question and I just want to find out if anyone out there who tried the "pearson vue web trick" wherein you can find out if you pass or fail ASAP instead of waiting for 3-4 weeks for the mail to come...i tried it myself and i guess i failed since it allowed me to enter my credit card#...anybody got the same situation but actually pass when they got the results by mail> pls. let me know... i feel like throwing up and I couldnt even take care of my baby right now since i am convinced that i really failed!!!
Congratulations to you both..But your passing the NCLEX has nothing to do with the "trick" at Pearsonvue.
You are just one of the lucky ones to passed it. I called Pearsonvue this morning and ask them about this trick your are telling everyone it works...a person there told me IT IS NOT TRUE..whatever it is. You can reregister again and again...Unless in tells you you pass or not..It is not true..So give it a break..Those who are still waiting like me..i think we need to stick with just waiting for the mail to come to us..from the Board cause this is the only thing that will tell us if we pass or fail...Good luck to everyone...
I think the nightmare is not the waiting for the result..the nightmare is that you know you are already a license nurse..then you need to find a nursing job that will hire you with no experience and working as a first time nurse on the floor..I heard a lot of horror about the first day in the job..or either the interview itself...so...In CA good luck finding a job...
I agree that the best way to confirm the test result is getting it by mail but if you are telling us that we can always register again...well.... it is not allowing us to do that even before we got our result and it is not really that important to us coz we have our results in hand. Anyway, this whole process has been really difficult but trust me you will feel a big sigh of relief once you find out that you are already a certified nurse rather than being a new graduate and having her first day on the floor ( it is a process EVERYONE has to experience). Now we can all have our life back instead of waiting for the mail to come everyone now and then... Good luck to all of us and for those who are still waiting for the golden ticket to success! If you beleive in yourself and what you think you are capable of in life then there are no such thing as "horror" stories... that only applies to people who dont even trust themselves:cry:...

hmmm ....I dont know if anyone ever stated that this trick works I think the above posterswere saying if it worked for them .I think repeatedly people have said to wait for your mailed results because their was no back up information on this "trick"Im sure everyone who does this trick does not rely on this as the source of wether they passed or not . We all waited for the letters just like you and every one else here in California ,and as for the nightmare being finding a job I actually think of it as a dream come true , I waited many years to have this license and was beside myself when I can appy for jobs and say that I am a LVN ,the greatest nurses were new nurses at once ,so I just think it depends on how you look at it ,for me it has been a blessing.Good luck to you,
I totally agree w/ you calilvn2008... I guess it is everyone's dream in this forum to be a nurse so if someone out there thinks finding a job as an LVN is a nightmare then why in the first place you invested so much of your time and money just to experience a nightmare???? the waiting period "feels" like a nightmare since im so sure most of us who took the nclex felt like throwing up or cant even sleep or eat but hey! its a process! but being able to finally apply as an LVN and having the 1st day on the floor is a dream come true..after all we busted our butt for this day to come... I just hope we all wish everyone good luck instead of making it sound miserable since we all experience the same process and stop blaming others for whatever outcome of the test.
Everyone I know that has tried this trick including myself that can repay to take the nclex pn again-failed; everyone that I know that has passed has not been able to pay to take the nclex pn again. Take that as whatever it is worth to you- there is no concrete evidence of this, but it just has seemed to worked out this way for these people. The nightmare was having to wait to finally pass my exam and call myself a Nurse and now my dream has came true. As far as jobs, all of my gfs that have recently became LVNs already have jobs, didn't seem hard for any of them, so those nurses in Cali looking for jobs- there out there!!!! Even if you have no experience, and are straight out of nursing school- there are POSITIVE people out there that want to hire new grads and mold wonderfull nurses!!! Good luck to all :)
I agree!!!!! with the previous posters.
I did the "trick" as well, it didnt allow me to pay either but in no way did I relied on this "trick" to determine if I passed or not. I tried this for my insanity, I didnt care if it was true or not. Well It didnt make me pay for the exam and and I found out that I PASSED.
It may or may not have any truth to this whole "trick". Who cares? if it can help relieve some anxiety while you wait for results then why not try it. I feel that if you know that trying this "trick" will freak you out if it takes you to the payment page, dont try it just wait for your results. Just my 2 cents.
i took my test on 2/7 and got back my results today and FAILED! i tried the trick and it did let me go all the way through to the payment, but knowing if this trick works or not, it did help me earlier, i studied bak after i know there is a possibility of failing and when i got the letter i wasn't that sad but expected, so this trick no matter helpful or not, i did not waste my time to sit and wait for restults, i did 3 weeks of studying and planning to take it again by the end of March.

I couldn't agree more. It's just one of those things that helps people cope with their anxiety. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. I doubt Pearson Vue or the BON would actually admit that it works, if it did. Just trying it helps me maintain my sanity while I wait for my results though. If someones curious, then try it. If someone doesn't believe it, then don't. It won't change your actual results one way or the other.
that's the kind of spirit we need in this forum rather than blaming others for their failure/nightmare:yeah:i know it would have been best if you did not have to retake the test again but w/ your determination to reach that dream of being a nurse, im sure you will finally get it next time...just dont give up and always remember that the right time will come for everyone in here to be a nurse and that will be soon. Good luck and congrats for being such a fighter in this journey!
This is good to know. It looks like you all took the PN test. Does it work for RN the same way? (I can't see why it wouldn't..) But this is good to know as I will have a couple of major decisions to make in the few days following my exam, and it would really help to have an idea of whether I had passed or not to know what to do..
I'm sorry to anyone who hasn't gotten the results they wanted through this "trick".. I know how it feels. I KNEW I had failed the first time around when I walked out of the test. But I think that preparing myself for the worst actually helped me cope when the results came in. It was actually a relief. Waiting is the worst part, I'm sorry..
