2015 pearson vue trick worked

Published

I tried registering after 24 hrs and system did not let me proceed with registration. I took nclex pn on Thursday Feb 12 2015. Paid for results Feb 14 2015 and unofficial results is I passed.

Congrats! The trick worked for me and my classmates as well. It's still unsettling until you get the "official" results.

Congrats! But you DID get official results; Pearson Vue charges $8 for providing you with a valid pass or fail result. Getting a LICENSE, however, that's a different matter.

But results you paid for via Quick Results ARE official.

Hi everyone,

I just took NCLEX on the 18th of this month, i stopped at 196 questions. I tried to do the PVT and lead me to cc page. Does that mean I probably failed my exam? Please let me know your thoughts.

It means if you feel paying $200 to get a false fail result is actually worth it, go ahead and try your luck. You have to submit a valid credit card number to do the trick.

ixchel,

What do you mean by false fail result? So if it leads to cc page doesn't mean that i completely failed still have a chance. because the comments above said he tried to re-register for the same exam and would not let him.

Everyone goes to credit card page regardless of pass/fail. There is no guarantee of the registration glitch especially if attempted less than 24 hours after you tested. If you create a duplicate registration and pass you donate $200 to Pearson.

Results unavailable only refers to quick results. If your state does not participate it will always say results unavailable

Ca doesn't have quick results available online... Do you know how long it usually takes for the letter in the mail?

People here have reported learning their results anywhere from two to six weeks; if any were longer or shorter than that I haven't read of them. Most people keep checking the BoN website and find their info posted there before they actually receive the printed notice.

Good luck.

As beachy said, you have to actually enter valid credit card information and submit it. If you failed, you get charged $200. The clincher is that the test is scored twice. So of it says you failed before the second scoring, you paid the $200, but you might actually have passed.

Everyone keeps saying the PVT is accurate after 24 hours post test. Honestly, though, they can fix this glitch any time they want and the only way we'll know it's been fixed is when 2 dozen people post on here back to back saying, "I got charged $200 but I passed!!!" If you don't like money, then go for it. Personally? I'd wait. It sucks, but the trick is a glitch that they have yet to fix completely.

Yeah, I tend to go with "if it's been 24 hours, it is what it is". Because so far, whatever the result is after 24 hours stays the result, it doesn't flip to the opposite result later. You're absolutely correct in that this can change at any time, as we're really talking about a registration software that can be altered at any point in the future. And yep, we'll undoubtedly see a sea of people crying "but it took my money!!" Or, conversely, "It didnt' take my money, it didn't allow me to register again, so I was sure I had passed!!" C'est la vie.

I doubt if it's something PV will "fix", as it isn't something that's actually broken, but just like the software upgrade that occured last August created the need to approach PVT differently, perhaps another software upgrade will simply not allow anyone to register again until their results have been officially released. Heaven knows, THAT will stop the barrage of PVT queries! :)

I just took my NCLEX yesterday and the computer cut me off at question 196... I don't know if I passed!!! Did you pass???
