Pearson Vue Trick - Good pop-up?

Nursing Students NCLEX Nursing Q/A

I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday morning 5/30. At first I was relieved when I was stopped at 60 questions, but then once I got to my car I was filled with dread and doubt. I felt like I had guessed on all but 3-4 questions. I wasn't sure if I was in the higher level difficulty or if I just truly knew nothing. I used the Hurst review to study and found that it helped mostly for the prioritization and delegation questions (which there were a LOT of). I had probably 10-15 SATA. No other alternate formats. I graduated at the top of my class with a 3.92 GPA, and to think that I potentially failed the NCLEX was devastating.

My friend took the NCLEX the day before me and had received an email saying "you've taken the NCLEX" almost immediately after her exam. I did not, and I was panicking! I walked out of the exam at 9:30 AM, and did not receive this email until around 4:30 PM.

When I got home around 1:30, I tried the PVT and got the message saying that I currently have an open registration and I cannot register for another NCLEX — indicating that I tried too early to do this trick.

I tried again once I received the email at 4:30... and I got the good pop-up (our records indicate blah blah)!! It was a huge anxiety-reliever for me, but I'm just paranoid that it's going to turn out wrong.

I've always done well on my practice exams via the Exit HESI, ATI, PassPoint, and Hurst. To think that after all of that I could have failed the NCLEX breaks my heart. I'm just holding onto the fact that this PVT has worked for nearly everyone... Has anyone gotten the good pop-up and then ended up failing?

You can do it!! I used Hurst review which was a nice refresher of OB! It basically went over every major subject and broke down the main points. I’ve also heard UWorld is good. Also lots of practice questions! You can know the information like the back of your hand, but applying it to NCLEX style questions is a whole other story!

Congratulations y'all! I take the NCLEX-RN on the 11th! I took it to get my LVN license last year so I don't feel as nervous this time around but ... not sure that's a good thing either ?

The trick worked for me last time so I'll be doing it again! So ready to get it done and out of the way!

Thank you and good luck ? You got this!

UPDATE 6/1: YALLLLLL my quick results came in an hour early and I PASSED!! Lord knows how, but I feel so BLESSED right now! Thank you all for your responses and words of encouragement!

That's amazing CONGRATS! I took mine today and I'm in the exact place you were. 60 questions, felt great at first then became more and more anxious as the day went on. My PVT is good but I can't help but think I'll be a rare false positive. Thursday can't come quick enough!

Any tips you have I might take it this month

If your state participates in the Quick Results from Pearson, that is 48 hours from the time you test.

Hello, do you know if the 48 hour wait is start time or end time of you NCLEX exam? I took my exam 4/16/20 at 8am and finished 11:30am.

It seems to vary. If I remember correctly, mine was from when I finished. I started mine at 1:00pm, finished at 2:00pm and mine became available around 2:45pm two days later. I remember being so upset when it wasn't right at 1:00, then again when it wasn't 2:00... so you can start checking at 8am, and maybe just check once per hour after that.

Good luck, I hope you get them soon!
