Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

I felt it was all about figuring out how they wanted you to answer the questions. For example with the priority questions you always see the patient with airway, breathing or circulation problems over anyone else, or an acute problem vs. a chronic problem. I felt that for the SATA questions you really had to know what they were talking about in order to know what to teach the patient. Im not really sure what to suggest you use to study if kaplan didnt work for you, my school uses an assessment program called ATI but im sure you cant purchase this as an individual.

I used the Pearson EXAM CRAMbook. I answered every question in the book, it's not a big book but the rationales are amazingly helpful. I would suggest trying that book, it also comes with a CD and it was not too expensive.

Let me also add that I noticed if your from CA or your state doesn't participate in the quick results thru Pearson that it is not guaranteed. Also make sure it has the "Delivery Completed, Confirmed or Complete" message or something along that line in the status of your test... aka your results must be in. You need to use your ID and password to sign back in, not create a new profile. I spent a lot of time searching thru 1,000 of messages... I was blown away at the percentage so much so that I considered it a passing grade and was able to go out and enjoy my Saturday night vs. laying in bed in a ball of shock.

what are you talking about that it is not guaranteed?:confused:

I took the test on Friday the 25th at 8am... didn't get into the test until 815am and was out by like 910am (I dont like to think too long because I end up overthinking questions). It turned off at 75 questions and I tried the PVT trick -- got the good pop up and received my results earlier today SUNDAY! at about the time I finished 915am... 48 hours laters not business hours. I too felt like i BOMBED the test completely. I had no clue what one of the meds were on my whole exam... I got rare disease I have never heard of and was asked to describe what I would be looking for! Yeah right like I could tell them... I guessed a minimum of 10 questions flat out. So getting the good pop up to me felt like I was going to end up being the FIRST ONE to fail it with this pop up but like thousands before me who felt that they were completely HOPELESS.. I passed have faith. The worst 48 hours of your life thus far will soon be over, and in the mean time use the PVT as a way to make the worst 48 hours a little bit better for your body.. by not stressing so much if you did pass. : )

what are you talking about that it is not guaranteed?:confused:

I have read a lot of post's about this and from everything I have read the PVT has nothing to do with what state you are in. As long as you do it correctly and and it is done when your test shows "delivered successfully" it seems to work...but at the end of the day the PVT is not guaranteed anywhere....just seems to be a back door way to see if you passed...pretty simple concept actually, if you passed the computer will stop you from re-registering to re-take an exam you have already passed....if you failed it will happily take your $$$ again. Good luck to us all

I have not heard that quick results has to do with anything. Many people from CA due to the amount of time they torture you guys which I believe is cruel and unusual punishment... have stated that they utilized the PVT and it has held to be accurate... Many of them accredit it to the only way they dealt with the six weeks of waiting.

I'm on week 2 of a 6/7 week wait...the PVT is the only thing keeping me sane lol

I am a first time poster to this site but have enjoyed reading hundreds, if not thousands of posts on various topics. I took my NCLEX PN exam on Saturday the 26th. I couldn't sleep so I was looking through this site to ease my mind, like many other people! I had heard something about this trick from a classmate, but I forgot the details, so I was excited when I found it here. I went through the steps, and sure enough, I got the "good pop up". I don't want to get my hopes up but I am a numbers lady and to me this trick seems to be about 99% accurate and the few who did get false results it was a matter of error on their part. As you can tell by the time of my post, it is late and I cannot sleep. I should find out in about 5 1/2 hours through the quick results and I just can't take it. The trick really does help with some of the anxiety but certainly not all....nothing like getting the REAL results but definately glad that I learned of this trick. I don't know how Cali can put there nurses through that kind of torture....I only have to wait 48 hours and I am going insane!!!! I will post my results when I get them....I am hoping to be like the 99% and get a passing result tomorrow!!!! Congradulations to all who have passed and keep the faith for those who are left waiting!!

Hello All,

I took the NCLEX-RN June 25th...had 265 questions and just knew I didnt do well! I had a lot of priority questions, SATA, infection control, drugs I never heard of! I came home and searched the website for all the threads on nclex and the "PVT"...I used it, just to calm my nerves a little...and IT WORKED! I was able to pay for my quick results lastnight (June 27th) and was so happy to see that little word PASS!

Congrats to all of you that took it and passed...and good luck to all that will be taking it soon!

I took my exam saturday morning with 75 questions. I already had it in my head that I failed. Not surprising because it sounds like most people have that feeling. Anyways, I did the PVT and got the good popup. This morning I found out that I passed!! It worked and I am very impressed. Usually this type of stuff is bogus. I am a believer now. It helps with the nerves too. Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:OMG.....I passed!!!! I am a believer!!!! I am so happy I am crying tears of joy! Congrats to all that passed and hang in there for those who have to wait!

:redbeathe:redbeathe:lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2:

Your post is SO encouraging! I took NCLEX PN in CA on June 15th and I'm still waiting on my results... the good "pop up" is the only thing I have keeping me sane at this point :crying2:

I know it's sooo hard to believe it works but since it's soo hard to function after that test or do anything else search thru the 1,000 of messages and get your spirits up. You'll see those say they got the cc page and then come back and say they failed. What an incredible joy this trick is. I know you passed it!!!
