Pearson Vue help!

I'm a little frustrated and need advise on what to do. I live in Pensacola Florida and my closest test site is an hour away. However, they have no Saturday appointments, all through June, none in July, and none in August. I feel this is a let down because I can't schedule. I work full time 8-5 Mon-Friday. Saturdays are the only days I can test, I have a 5 year old and no one to watch her except my closest family (in-laws) are an hour away in the opposite direction, and my husband works every Saturday and No he can't take off a day, not in the job field. So what am I supposed to do?

Frustrated and could use any suggestions.

Should I contact Pearson Vue and express my concern about having more Saturday appointments available?

I feel your pain. The only thing I can suggest is to continually check for cancellations. You can do so, by clicking on reschedule. That is how I got my Saturday's in the past.

I'd give them a call. Maybe they can slide you into a spot if you speak with them directly. It can't hurt!

Yes, call and talk to them. If you give them your number they can probably call you with a last minute cancellation or maybe they can slip you in. Sorry that you have to go through this.

What about the next farthest site? (Dothan, right?) Can you take a day off? Can you find a babysitter close to you? Is there a reliable day care site close to you that your child could visit for the day? Is there someone who could ride to the test site with you and your daughter and take her to the park for an hour while you do your test? Can you swap days with somebody at work?

That's all my ideas at the moment :) Hope one of them will help you!

Are you asking about EC exams or NCLEX? I don't know if it matters, but I checked with PEARSON and I can test in Warwick, Rhode Island which is about the same distance for me as the nearest Massachusetts site. For EC tests I went to the Mass site and combined it with shopping, etc. For NCLEX I will go to whichever is faster. Try hiring a local teen to bring with you to entertain your little one while your testing. You could also try to do 2 exams on the same day.

It would appear that our Mobile, AL is the closest site to Pensacola, FL. There are several openings in June and July. Your situation does provide some serious limitations, but I recently checked and found some availability on Saturday, July, 4th (not optimal I agree, but open regardless) or Sunday, July, 12th. I suggest you give us a call in order to try and schedule something up. Hope this helps!
