Hello! I just wanted to update the community with some more recent information!
Firstly I'm currently enrolled there in their 101 class, my class is the first class to have financial aid. the pass rate is at 84% and your allowed to re-mediate if your above 76% ( your allowed to retake 20% of your lowest scored test again to try to pass at the end of the semester)
Pccti uses ATI testing now for benchmark parts of your grade I.e finals and midterm type stuff.
Clinical sites still vary all over the chicagoland suburbs and you're placed randomly regardless if you don't live close by. Also they do not have any current students in any hospital and I personally haven't heard of placement of a hospital in previous classes
here is a list of some of the sites that they've used
Westmont Rehab and nursing westmont il
Countryside nursing center Aurora il
Bridgeview nursing center Bridgeview il
mcauly manor aurora il
tabor hills naperville il
Attendance is only mandatory if the teachers don't have anything else going on in their private life. but if the student misses class you will be held accountable because its mandatory to have so many hours...

The teachers are split up for the week as senior main instructor who is on pccti's board of education and 1 Craigslist teacher. only the senior instructor is allowed to see and review exams. the second one is lecture/powerpoint time/ some lab time.
This post is a work in progress that I want to keep up to date as I progress through the school year. but as a student their who is passing 101 I can't say that I recommend this school to anyone because theirs better options out there. BUT IF YOU DO COME HERE, GET EVERYTHING THEY PROMISE IN WRITING in regards to grades and clinical sites.
It is good to hear that they are slowly improving. In my humble opinion the owners need to maybe hire an impartial person to serve as an administrator. I think some of the way they operate us cultural. I loved my instructor and clinical instructor. I found them to be very knowledge, caring and want u to succeed. They need to do more to get a presence in Chicago for clinicals. After all they have a location on Jackson St. It just didn't add up for me to live in Chicago but had to go to Westmont for a clinical. Insane.
Thanks Jess! If I had my cna certification finished I would be right there with ya lol
Definitely keep me posted. I'm sure the nervous bug will go away after the first few weeks of class :-) Just make sure to get a schedule going for studying and reading chapters. Have yourself a little study area in your home. If you have your textbooks already most students suggest skimming through it and maybe read the first chapter. I know you are planning on working while in school, so stay motivated and I will be right here cheering you on! I'm a single mother myself so I know we have to do what we have to just to get where we want to be...Our job is never done lol
Hi jess4923 I'm also enrolled for pccti nov 11 clad in the morning so I guess we will be classmates I emailed you hope I don't mind but who was I'd admission rep because mine was not do accurate on some info but any I'm so nervous abt the program I heard good and bad abt the school but I gonna use my own judgement
TJerdine did you apply for financial aid? Compared to ATS 30K plus books, uniforms and transportation, parking I will take there tuition lol I was able to receive my award letter last month to see what I'm working with and it covered most of the tuition except 1300. That would be spread over the months of the program. It's a private college so most of these schools are in the 15-30 range unless you are at a community college then it's probably 5K. Pretty ridiculous when check other states and see how much they charge,I wish Illinois was the lower tuition states.
I was an employee. I would advise that you keep up with ALL documents they give to you. I also strongly any conversations had please please have them document them. If you take more than one class make sure you get documentation stating u have paid in full. There were times where I was asked to add charges that were not appropriate or accurate.

Yeah, thats goood that students are not messing around when it comes to the quality of their education. Can you send me the ATI books to my email as well,I want to review it early on. I know if anything is out of order Im gonna report it,especially when Im paying for most of my tuition out of pocket. Like you both said make sure its in writing.
