Hello! I just wanted to update the community with some more recent information!
Firstly I'm currently enrolled there in their 101 class, my class is the first class to have financial aid. the pass rate is at 84% and your allowed to re-mediate if your above 76% ( your allowed to retake 20% of your lowest scored test again to try to pass at the end of the semester)
Pccti uses ATI testing now for benchmark parts of your grade I.e finals and midterm type stuff.
Clinical sites still vary all over the chicagoland suburbs and you're placed randomly regardless if you don't live close by. Also they do not have any current students in any hospital and I personally haven't heard of placement of a hospital in previous classes
here is a list of some of the sites that they've used
Westmont Rehab and nursing westmont il
Countryside nursing center Aurora il
Bridgeview nursing center Bridgeview il
mcauly manor aurora il
tabor hills naperville il
Attendance is only mandatory if the teachers don't have anything else going on in their private life. but if the student misses class you will be held accountable because its mandatory to have so many hours...
nursing 101 Covers these topics for tests the main book we use is foundations of nursing christensen 6th edition.
1. History/legal
2. CNA care/ infection control/ nutrition
3. Vitals/ physical assessment
4. nursing process/communication
5. intro to pharmacology
6. midterm
7. documentation/ admissions transfers discharges
8. safety/ body mechanics
9. Electrolytes, wound care, specimen collection
10. cultura/l pain management/ life span
11 final
12 ati pn fundamentals test
The teachers are split up for the week as senior main instructor who is on pccti's board of education and 1 Craigslist teacher. only the senior instructor is allowed to see and review exams. the second one is lecture/powerpoint time/ some lab time.
This post is a work in progress that I want to keep up to date as I progress through the school year. but as a student their who is passing 101 I can't say that I recommend this school to anyone because theirs better options out there. BUT IF YOU DO COME HERE, GET EVERYTHING THEY PROMISE IN WRITING in regards to grades and clinical sites.

I'm at the Oak Brook campus. I did pass N101 and out of 30 students in are class only half moved on to the next semester. The class its self is just a lot of studying from the book they give you, there isn't really any homework or papers to write
Ok I will be attending the chicago campus. Why only half passed? Is it alot of work? Did you start clinicals in nursing 101?
a lot of people that didn't make it worked full time jobs and didn't take it seriously, clinicals started about 4 weeks in for my class. the work load from class is manageable but its pretty much just self studying from the books they give you. I wasn't passing the class until I quit my job and I passed the first half with a 86.
Kaizou wow now I'm really nervous I going to be working part-time and I have a 10 month old I just want to do the best I can lol any other info you could give me that would help me do well would be greatly appreciated
I can email you the ATI books, the actual book we used for fundamentals is really short and easy to read.
Ok My email is [email protected]

I attended this school for the CNA course. Loved the instructor. However the way this school is managed is a travesty. The owners cannot keep staff and they do not own up to what they promise you in the beginning. Get everything in writing up front. Job placement is terrible. I had to fight to get basic things like my final grade in writing and a certificate of completion. The owners were trying to make me pay for that which is absurd. I kept my contract that I signed that showed what they were responsible for giving me and that was the only way I got transcript. They don't make any effort to build relationships with medical facilities in Chicago. I was told my clinical would be in Chicago but I ended up going to a facility in Westmont! I would never recommend this school to anyone. Good luck.

I appreciate the updated post for PCCTI.
Im narrowing down my school selections and I had them on the list for Feb start date, so this info is good to know ahead of time. I wish they had some Chicago clinicals though.
Thanks So Much!
the school is improving slowly very slowly, the more the students complain to state and the more things get fixed, they even adjusted the grading scale for ati tests so its now 50% of your grade( these tests are very fair and direct)
