Published

Hi this is a general thread for this years nursing applications for the schools above in Portland,OR and surrounding areas for the FALL 2019/ WINTER 2020 Cohorts.

Post all your applications processes, questions, tips and tricks and good luck!

Congrats bhosk! I just had my meeting at PCC for my grad plan. I was told that they have offered 4 spots so far to those on the waitlist and last year they had 8 get in off of waitlist.

does anyone know if they have gotten any further through the MHCC waitlist? I saw someone said at least number 8. Thanks!

They definitely haven't made it to 29 ??

I'm #18 on MHCC's alternate list and haven't heard anything yet. I am hopeful, but would love to have a concrete answer. Good luck to all on these alternate lists!

@JazzyBex Have you heard anything yet?

Not yet. This year is quite different with the change in the points system, so I have really no idea what to expect. Being in limbo is a little frustrating, but hopefully we'll all know sooner than later!

I have just been offered a seat at CCC, I am trying to now decide between PCC and CCC, biggest disadvantage is that CCC is twice as far. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

Anymore movement on MHCC?

Do any MHCC acceptees know if a facebook group has been created for either the fall or winter cohorts?

In here asking again lol (sorry)

but do you know of any movement on MHCC alternate list?

@futurenurse347, from my desktop I could see your past posts, and it looks like you were offered a position on June 7th last year. Yes, I'm nosy! ? You must be very busy with nursing school already! This year seems to be quite different. I will be sure to try and update if I get offered a position, but I'm sure it will have to wait until December or January for the MHCC Winter term.... if I'm lucky.

I will continue to remain hopeful but am planning on reapplying in November. The good news is I can get some work experience in, and extra time for work experience certainly can't be a bad thing, even if it's an extra year of it. I can save up more money for tuition. Ah, yes, my glass is half full. I'm excited about this entire journey! I'm passionate and ready, it just may take more time. To paraphrase a famous Doctor (haha),

Oh, the places I'll go! As long as there are brains in my head and feet in my shoes, I'll steer myself any direction I choose.

Congrats to all those accepted students and to all those still trying to get into nursing school. It's been a difficult journey, but I have honestly loved the challenge. I have proven myself to be more capable than I ever imagined. Keep working and trying! We've got this! I'm cheering us all on. Cheesy, I know, but true. ?

Hey all,

I've been accepted for fall term at MHCC and I have a few questions. I will be out of the country for a month and to submit our immunizations and background check and all that jazz we have to use Acemapp and Immunitrax. I will not get access to this untill I come back, and I guess I was wondering if its possible to finish submitting everything in like 6 days cause that is all Ill have.... Im kind of freaking out
