PBSC Spring 2015 Nursing

I created this thread for those applying to Spring 2015 LW Nursing. I am a returning student starting a second career. I have 4 prerequisites left that I am taking this summer. I also am taking the Critical Thinking class for a point. I took the Hesi last week to see how I would do and got an 85. I will have about 27 points for my app so not sure if I will take Hesi again. Good luck everyone.

Specializes in ICU, CCU.

No email for the lw full-time program for me yet... Did many students get their emails or just a few? Knowing that others have received theirs but I haven't heard anything is really stressing me out!!

They only notified a few. But some hadn't received an email but we're able to see that their status had changed in the limited access tab (where your points post) from completed to accepted or denied.

Idk I got in with a 23.68

Does anyone know what the cut off was for full time lake worth?

Congrats to all of you who were accepted and continued luck for those who are still waiting to hear! :)

Is everyone going to a Dr. to have titers and flu shots done?

I didn't know if I should just go to my regular physician for everything because some said they did everything at a walk in clinic. Still haven't gotten an email just notification Iin limited access page saying accepted.

I have heard the same things. I like the idea of one stop shop at the clinic without all the fuss of a Dr apt but I would like to spend as little out of pocket as possible. I'm not sure walk in clinics are covered as much by insurance.

Thursday I will check with people in my pharm class to see what they did.

23.6 appears to be the lower limit for the full time program.

Good to know, I have 23.76 points so far. Will probably retake the HESI to try to get into the 10 point category.

Congrats to those accepted. I'm a May 2014 graduate. Pbsc is a tough program so be prepared!! Best part is that I feel that I was well prepared for my nclex. I found a job quickly and it seems pbsc students are favored for hire :-). I have books and uniforms (xs) that I'm selling if interested. Again, congratulations and good luck!!
