  1. Hi, sorry for replying late to your post. I used the Mometrix book (HESI A2 Secrets) and four books covering general "Nursing School Entrance Exams:" the one by Barron's, the one by Princeton Review, the one by Peterson's and the one by Kaplan. *ALL of which I borrowed from the PBC Library so there is no need to purchase any study guides. Good luck on the HESI and with admission! I have actually decided against applying to the nursing program and will be doing my BAS fall semester instead. Good luck to everyone.
  2. I have a slight bias but I would suggest PBSC for pre-reqs and also for the nursing degree. You can take pre-reqs in either Lake Worth or Boca Raton and then apply for Lake Worth nursing. That way there won't be any question about transferring credits.
  3. Good to know, I have 23.76 points so far. Will probably retake the HESI to try to get into the 10 point category.
  4. Thanks, good to know. Honestly the biggest cause of hesitation for me is the nearly 50 dollar fee PBSC charges just to sit an exam :/ but maybe it will be worth a try. I hadn't actually finished A&P I or II or Micro when I took my HESI. My preparation was mostly self-study for the A&P and bio sections. So maybe now that I have more classroom experience, it would be worth another try.
  5. Congratulations! Best of luck next semester in your nursing classes! :) Also could everyone applying for Spring share their points (and the cutoff, when it's received) to help those of us preparing for Fall? Thank you.
  6. Based on the Spring 2015 application I have 24 points. Wondering if it would be worth it to take the HESI again and try to get into the 10 point category (96 and up) instead of the 9 point category I am in now.
  7. Yes! Just hoping the points balance out.
  8. I am applying for this term and am nervous about a slightly low GPA. I will, however, have all the classes except Critical Thinking completed, and I had a 94 on the HESI. So I hope it evens out. Good luck to everyone! -Ilavarachi
  9. Listening in to this conversation as I am preparing to apply for Fall 2015 :) Good luck everyone.
