PBSC Spring 2015 Nursing

I created this thread for those applying to Spring 2015 LW Nursing. I am a returning student starting a second career. I have 4 prerequisites left that I am taking this summer. I also am taking the Critical Thinking class for a point. I took the Hesi last week to see how I would do and got an 85. I will have about 27 points for my app so not sure if I will take Hesi again. Good luck everyone.

Yes, the new HESI score requirements will start October 2, the day after our applications are due.

And I am sure you will get in cgambino70. You had such great points before the points changed, so I'm sure you will be fine.

No. They actually don't know what the points are going to be because of the changes. Latisha just gave a general average based off what she has seen so far from the applications coming in. But the points needed for the part time program are usually higher than the full time's average.

Per Latisha after this night's info session: so far the average looks like 23-24....so far. And for anyone applying after Oct 1 2014, they will be dropping Nutrition and adding Statistics; you must get an 80% in each of the scored sections of the HESI and get at least an 80% overall. Thanks so much for the update! I had heard that statistics might become part of the program requirements. So does that mean it will replace the point on the application for nutrition, as well?

Yes, it will replace the point for Nutrition. And no problem!

Also, I am turning in my application with 23.36 points for the BG full time program.

The long wait begins.....

Hi everyone, I handed in my application today . I only had 24.68 points so I applied to Belle Glade campus. It's going to be a far commute for me but I didnt want to chance being rejected at lake worth, ya know. I hope I get in. Do you guys think I have chance at getting in?

I just put in my application for PBSC and BC. I have 27.3 points. I applied to Lake Worth campus. Hopefully I get in somewhere!! I hope that 92% in the HESI makes me competitive enough. Good luck ladies and gents! Hope we all make it in :)

Oh I see BC is Broward College. I think you definitely have enough points for PBSC. I applied for fall and got rejected. But the cut of point for lake worth was 25.52 so you are more than good.

Does anyone know when we should have an idea if we got in or not ? I know they usually send out rejection letters first, how soon will that be?

When I turned my application in, I was told we should hear something about 2 weeks after the deadline.
