PBSC Spring 2015 Nursing

Published

I created this thread for those applying to Spring 2015 LW Nursing. I am a returning student starting a second career. I have 4 prerequisites left that I am taking this summer. I also am taking the Critical Thinking class for a point. I took the Hesi last week to see how I would do and got an 85. I will have about 27 points for my app so not sure if I will take Hesi again. Good luck everyone.

Omg I was searching pharmacology...Dur me!! I'm taking 8 on Thursday with pryzby my hubby took her...he said she was great :)

There are a bunch of us taking Pryzby on Thursday mornings from this site. She has really good reviews.

I have her for 8:30 :) I was going to take the later class (11) but I realized it was online and I never learn anything when I take things online. Lol

I think all the Pharm classes are hybrids and meet once a week. Didn't see any that were 2 days.

I wonder why they said two different things then... One said online hybrid and the other said in class with "blackboard" component. Why do they call them two different things if they're the same class! The only thing I can think is that the meeting time for the 11 oclock class is just when the lectures are posted or that's the scheduled time to come in to take exams or something (I've had courses like that before.)

Has anyone heard anything about the higher level pharm? It's on our course list as available (Nur2140) from 4-6:45 on Wednesday's but I can't find an open seat. I'm considering taking it because I think you need it for the RN-BSN and I'd rather not waste my time retaking it if I can avoid it.

My critical thinking class is online hybrid and we meet in class weekly. Maybe the online hybrid has more online work. Weird since they both meet once a week.

Are you sure you're looking at fall semester? There are 2 nur2140 and both are cancelled.

Also, Rhonda told me last semester that nur1141 will be ok for the rn-bsn bridge.

Yeah I emailed her and am waiting for response. It was only listed on the first copy of the packet that was sent out (it was revised several times after that.) Thanks for the response!

They said in info session that nur2140 was going away and the 2 credit course can be used for BSN program at PBSC.

I remember that from the info session, but it's confusing because they keep changing things and then don't update the website. That was true about the procalc exam too. It was still on the website even though they did away with it like a year ago.

I just wondered because I want to keep my options open for other schools rn-bsn programs. I wish they still offered the 2140...
