Hey everyone! I see there are a bunch of people on the fall 2017 applicant page so I figured I would start the next one up. This thread is for everyone to ask questions and discuss the application to the program.
Good luck everyone!
I'll start by asking, does anyone know if there will be any more information sessions before the October 1st deadline besides the July 19th session?
I have taken the HESI and am taking Pharmacology as well. Planning to apply in January, 2018 for the part-time program. I have Professor DePalo. The HESI was not as scary as everyone makes it out to be if you have studied and taken the courses they are testing. The math is 90% conversions of fractions/decimals. Pharmacology has ALOT of information, but I can't gauge how difficult the class is yet because all the exams were pushed due to the hurricane. Will know more after first exam later this week. I wish they would post the applications already. If they are posting late, the deadline will also have to be pushed as will the acceptance notifications. This will not give anybody enough time to prepare if you don't find out until mid-December that you are starting first week of January.
The application will be posted tomorrow at 12pm! The deadline to apply has been extended to October 5th. It doesn't give you a lot of time to get your application in but think about it this way, there will be less times for other people to apply as well. Meaning less people will probably apply and if you do apply you'll have a higher chance of getting in!
Hi! I was told that the application was going to be available today (9/20/2017) but when I went on the website using my laptop it still didn't work. I went on the school website on my phone and was able to pull up the application that way. So, if you are not able to pull up the application from your laptop definitely try using your phone. I hope this works for you.
I was thinking that the hurricane may work in our favor in another way because there were a lot of people planning to re-take the HESI to raise their scores and get more points who were scheduled during IRMA. The testing centers were all closed while campus was shut down! Hoping that brings the median down!
LOL!
Hi there also applying for the spring program I'm not sure how many exact points I have but i think from 22-23 and it scares me to see that the cut off so close to my score. But i was just wondering if it's possible to apply to both the ft lakeworth program and ft belle glade program in hopes that one or the other could accept you?
You are not able to apply to more than one campus. I have heard in the past that if they don't fill the spots for the belle glade program, they will usually call some students who applied to lake worth and didn't get in the top 90, but were close, and offer them a spot in belle glade. I'm not sure how often this actually occurs but I have heard of it.
