PBSC Nursing Spring 2018

Published

Hey everyone! I see there are a bunch of people on the fall 2017 applicant page so I figured I would start the next one up. This thread is for everyone to ask questions and discuss the application to the program.

Good luck everyone!

I'll start by asking, does anyone know if there will be any more information sessions before the October 1st deadline besides the July 19th session?

I went online and the last information session I saw was July 19th. I would contact the advisor to confirm just in case they have not updated the dates.

****UPDATE***

Yes they have information sessions August 8, September 6 & 27, October 11, and November 1.

Hello, I'm considering PBSC for the nursing program. Have anyone of you guys took the HESI? If so can you tell me how was it? Was it hard? Was the admission book any help? The math was it basic? And the science was it hard or decent? Thank you!

Hi. I took the HESI exam to get a feel of what is going to be on the test and it's not hard. What makes it difficult in my opinion is because A&P, Biology, and Chemistry only have but so much questions you can get wrong. Math is just like the book, study the book and you will do fine. For A&P, Chemistry, and Biology I would study the book and use outside sources as well. Alot of people on here recommends the HESI A2 pocket prep app and videos on youtube. You can try that.

I took the HESI last Thursday and did really well! The first section I took was A&P and didn't do great so I was discouraged, but I got a 96% and above on the rest of the sections. Study study study your A&P! Bio and chem could be hard if you don't remember. Other sections were basic. I converted all of the fractions to decimals on the math and got a 100%. Good luck! I also didn't study at all.

What campus are you all thinking about applying for belle glade or lake worth ?

Is anyone else taking Pharmocology this semester?

I'm taking pharmacology and I already feel overwhelmed with how much material we have to cover in 3 weeks.

Who is your teacher?
