WASHINGTON, DC -- 01/20/2004 -- (Eli Digital) Public television stations across the nation will air a special presentation on Alzheimer's disease tomorrow.
Titled "The Forgetting: A Portrait of Alzheimer's," the two-hour special aims to help people better understand and cope with the devastating neurodegenerative disorder. The special includes a 90-minute documentary based on David Shenk's best-selling book, The Forgetting, which examines the history and biology of the disease, the experiences of Alzheimer's patients and caregivers and the effort to find a cure.
It will be followed by "Alzheimer's: The Help You Need," a half-hour program hosted by actor David Hyde Pierce that features Alzheimer's experts from around the nation. For more information on the special, including specific information on when it will be broadcast in your area, http://www.pbs.org/theforgetting/about/index.html.

Awesome! Thanks for the info! My grandfather is in the early stages of Alzheimer's & I would love for my mom to watch these programs. She probably won't (she's the queen of denial), but at least it'll be out there on the off chance she does.
No problem Amy, glad to help!
