Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

:anbd::anbd::anbd::anbd::anbd:The waiting is driving me nuts too! This is truly a test of patience. I dont think you are going to have a problem this time around. I was reading the postings in this forum long before I figured out how to join and last time I remember you were so close. After finishing micro & nutrition you are set so dont worry. I appreciate you sharing anxiety with me but I think you're a lock. Also, It is encouraging to know that you have talked to people who did not score in the 90's because it seems like everyone who took the test with me did so well. I was also expecting more postings here for Fall 09 hopefuls. I know theres not much more I can do at this point but to wait. Its already been 10 days since deadline, another 10 and the waiting will be over. I do think that missing those 2 points on the NLN might make or break me but only time will tell. If we get in we will have to say hi at orientation! I will hold up a sign JENTRBO, just kidding.

I was surprised to not hear from too many Fall '09 hopefuls as well. We had a nice little group last time around.

I am done checking my PBCC email for the day. Tomorrow is another day.

OMG! Navygrl didnt you apply for Spring 09 too? There are probably so many of us out there. If we dont hear by tomorrow, next chance is probably Monday as college office is closed Friday.

Hey guys.....I see you guys are waiting around just like us over at BC. When did they stop taking apps for you? BC stopped May 15....and usually in the past they've notified everyone within about 2 wks, so its making us all crazy. The college office is closed Fridays for us, too, so if we don't hear anything by tomorrow we'll have to wait until next week as well.

I had a question......I was wondering if you could explain how the points work at PBCC. I know you get like up to 10 pts for the NLN depending on your score, but I wasn't sure how many you got for the classes and what not. Also, what's the max amount of points you can have?

I didn't even think about the fact that the college is closed on Fridays. That's one less day I have to sit at the computer checking my email like a complete psycho!!!

sunraygurl, the max is 31 I believe. I could be wrong.

My first time applying as well...I get the feeling this is going to be the most competitive year ever in terms of points/cutoff, so no expectations here.

Not too bad just stressful & time consuming. 1 wk left w/ 1 test and the final. Just getting tired of doing nothing but studying. I will be glad to have 6 wks off. Good luck H_2_O on getting in!!
