Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

I know that we are going to be doing clinicals at Glades Regional and at another hospital. Can some one tell me the name of other hospital. I forgot.

Hi 2bnurse,

I know I have stayed away for a while. I had a lot of stuff to do. I got all my books. I swear they are about 2 1/2 feet high if I stack them up. I am done with everything I need to do just waiting to start. I am going to do the other scholarships anyway and see what happens. I only have one class left A & P Lecture. I can't even study anymore. I need this 2 1/2 week break badly. I'm going 7 semesters with out a break.........How are things with you?

congratulations on getting the funds, i told u it would have taken about 2 weeks to get processed. you go girl!!!

things are going with me, i got a A in micro hopefully i can keep it after the finals next week. other than school im just here watching the news on the economy and watching my 401k slide thru the door:(

i know your excited about starting school, im happy for and all who got accepted. what are the hours of school. BCC is 9-12

My schedule is Skills lab Wed 9:00 to 11:30, Lecture wed and Thur 2:00 to 3:40, Clinicals Mon and Tues 7:30 to 1:30, and Pharm online. Not sure when I am going to be able to work. I work all the way in gardens. My doctor did say I can work on Friday and Sunday. I guess I am going to have to make it work. I hope you get in BCC, did you apply there and when would they start. I am glad I got the scholarship. I'm sure that everyone who read your online post thanks you to. What are you going to take next semester While you wait.

Hey Mystical, Did you figure out what phone or palm pilot u are getting. What phone service do you have. I'm looking at the blackberry storm or a PDA. I need to figure out where that Clewiston Hospital is just in case I have to go there first. I saw Patten yesterday. He said mostly everyone got A's on the exam and there were some B's. I asked him my final grade he couldn't remember but thinks it's an "A". How are you doing in micro are you done.

I have metro which I am ok with, I'm really not an electronics person so its a phone and serves its purpose, know what I mean jelly bean.. Im in a silly mood... A friend of mine is going out with a guy who works for motorola some sort of engineer person so she is going to ask him what he thinks the best phone or pda to get, I will keep you informed

I looked at the storm make sure you find out how much memory you can put in it... micro done A in lab, have pharm test tomorrow then final next week along with A&P final but, thats easy not worried about that one...

mystical good mrng. did pbcc say you guys need a PDA for school?

i pose this question in "mobile commute forum" but didnt get an answer....if you have a "smart" cellphone can it be used as a PDA?

also i saw on craiglist someone was selling one for $55 in lake worth and another lady was selling hers for $20 in miami she says is brand new its just missing the charger (which you can purchase for maybe $18 bucks).

i was reading the reviews on these gadgets and most people say they break or the unit stop functioning after a year, with that being said i dont think i want to pay full price ($300) for something that wont last.

what do you think?

They did not say we need one but, it was suggested

I believe a smartphone can be used as a PDA

Which gadget where you referring 2 that breaks in a year

I think I will be leaning towards just getting a PDA, for me it will be a pain to switch to another carrier and then end up paying more, I am still not sure. I am going to see what my friends boyfriend thinks

mystical, i cant think of the correct name right now, but it was one that i saw on craiglist. i always read reviews before i purchase something...maybe thats why they were selling it for so cheap .

let me know what your tech friend says about these PDA as i know nothing about them. any info in great

i need some help please.

i just tried to register for the NLN and all the seats are full.

can you tell me where else i can to take it? and do PBCC accept the grades from elsewhere?

thank you so much, my head is going in a frenzy right now, i cant believe all the seats are taken and the closing date is not untill March.

It goes quick....

you can try indian river community college

you just have to have your transcripts sent there

if you went to a private school it depends, I did and my credits did not transfer over... I would suggest you speak with an advisor they would be able to tell you for sure
