PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Thanks

professors and current students kept saying that the program is hard, is hard, and is hard… but besides them trying to scare people out of their socks i think it was informative. we got to meet the teachers for the first semester.

Hi Mystical, Did You Meet The Faces Behind The Screen Names At The Info Session Last Night?

Hi

yes, well thunter I already know, one other girl we met from this forum and we didnt personally meet diver but, he was the only male so I will have to assume it was him. Thanks for sending me the info... I really do appreciate it. How are you doing?

Diver your the only male omg!! your gonna have many girllfriends for the next 2 years. (cat fight lol).

how many students again will be starting this term?

your very welcome mystical, so did you fill out scholarships apps? or was it was just a info meet n greet session?

I havent filled it out yet, I have to go to a counsler and have them do what you sent and I will probably go next week, then I have to write some stuff and I hate writing so I am pondering on what I am going to put down, basically its like what diver said.. how hard it is.. you will have no life yada yada

no, i meant the the scholorship they gave out last night at the session (if any).

that was really nothing.... they mentioned one through the school itself and then the other is i think HCA or something where they will give you up two 6000 and when you graduate you have to work for them for 2 years

oh i see, HCA is horrible to work for. Tenet is better, oh as i say tentet let me go look if they still offering sponsorship for nursing students ...hold up

this is for the tenet scholarship, they operate many hospital in our area like:

coral gables hospital miami coral gables icon_viewmap.gif delray medical center miami delray beach icon_viewmap.gif florida medical center miami ft. lauderdale icon_viewmap.gif good samaritan medical center miami west palm beach icon_viewmap.gif hialeah hospital miami hialeah icon_viewmap.gif north shore medical center miami miami icon_viewmap.gif palm beach gardens medical center miami palm beach gardens icon_viewmap.gif palmetto general hospital miami hialeah icon_viewmap.gif pinecrest rehabilitation hospital miami delray beach icon_viewmap.gif st. marys medical center miami west palm beach icon_viewmap.gif west boca medical center

if you were to be awarded a scholarship from them, you would sign a 2yr contract to work at one of these hospitals. unfortnately i do not have much info on this one, or how the process works. i would apply only if workforce didnt help (my personal opinion). good luck:wink2:

the good think i like about this sponsorship is you are guaranteed a job when finished with school. cause that would hideous to finish school and cant find a job. but i dislike signing a contract maybe cause im in law and see the backlash after signing the dotted line.

deadline is march 15
