PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Thanks

I am doing good, I got the call, last thursday and I'm in the Belle Glade program....

I love this weather still doesnt seem like its time for turkey day...

Mystical that is exciting news:yeah:, how comes you didnt post your news of joy, but either ways i am so happy for you... you go girl!!!!!. i only hope the Bcc would give me a call too that would really put the icing on the holiday for me.

so are you gonna look into the workforce program? i supposed you will be very busy running around getting shots and all your titers done before school. you see nursing is really for you CONGRATULATIONS.

Thanks You, I have been very busy running around, I did my tb and had blood drawn, had physical and drug test and background check and got my uniforms.. I am excited ..... that would be wonderful if they would call you 2, is there a particular time when they start calling people. I dont work right now so I dont think I qualify for that...

i'm still happy for you though, when the other scholorships open up i will post the info as those dont require a job to apply. to be honest i dont know how BCC program works, they dont answer their phones or even return your email the staff is just rude/ i question myself as to why i applied there sometimes. oh well .

i got the procalc book, did you know its $20 bucks now. my friend and i are going to take the NLN to apply for Pbcc, im just waiting for microbiology to be out the way before i start studying for it.

what did they say on the phone when they called...where you in silence shocked?

I would love to know about the scholarships... Dec 4th we have to go for a scholarship info session and a welcoming session... I didnt buy a "procalc book" I bougt a drug book for nurses and shows you how to do the calculations... which I lent someone (who I didnt know) in my chem class over the summer and it was never returned that cost 25 bucks ... Im still in shock... I kept saying oh my g-d im so excited

Ive heard that about BCC (about the staff), An x-coworker was going there for physical therapy asst and she said they were horrible

i will all of you know about it ..no worries. Mystical have you ever had fried turkey? my friend was telling me about it.. she said its good her family fries the the turkey as a whole.

I have never tried it, I heard it was good... I think its fried in peanut oil

yea, thats what she said they use peanut oil. im writing a stupid philosophy paper right now thats due today, tommorow i will be on when i go to work have a good night girl.

hey diver how are you doing? are you excited to start school also?

I am exited; I already did the drug test, turned in the paperwork for the background test. I got the Immunizations that I was missing; which cost me $430.00 I was shocked. Things are falling in to place.

Thank you for the workforce tips.

I am going to the orientation on the first. It seems that Broward makes it a lot more difficult than Palm Beach. They have list in their website with the approved careers and providers. The careers are those that are in high demand in Broward County. Nursing is one of them so no problem there. The problem is the approved vendors, BCC and MDC are in the list but not PBCC. I am going to their required orientation on the 1st and see what happens but I am not counting on their money.

good mrng everyone..its nice out today aint' it?

where do you live Diver? Broward
