PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Well, I just got my bad news. I didn't make it in with a 24.86. The minimum was 25.40. Oh well. Guess I'll try in Fall 2009. Hope you all had some better luck.

Jentrbo, im sorry to hear that but has you said try for the Fall. keep your chin up, if its for you it will be for you. dont be too hard on yourself...these schools make it it so hard for us to get in its ridiculous and then govt complain of nursing shortage.

what campus did you apply to? i know Lake Worth is hard to get in to.

Ya I just got a denial letter too I applied for LW with 23.93, I hope all you guys got into Belle Glade. Thats where I was gonna apply too but I changed my mind last minute...ugh!

cprincess, you should have applied to both campuses n widen your chances!! sorry for the heartache news you got. but keep trying ok.

Thank you 2bnurse-1. I applied to the Lake Worth campus. I think you are only able to apply to one campus at a time. (LW or BG) The good thing is that once I'm done with this semester I'll have even more points than I do now.

I'm still so disappointed.

I know keiser has a program in west palm, I dont know if its accredited or anything, I know it hasnt been around a while... Keep your head high, it will happen for you!!!!

Jentrbo and cprincess701 i'm so sorry you guys. My heart dropped to my stomach when I read the post.

My husband told me that "Perseverence and success is not measured by personal achievements but rather on how well you respond to set backs" he came up with that after I got my score for the NLN ( I didn't do so great and I didn't want to apply to the program).

Please do not give up but I can only imagine how you must feel. Please apply for the fall you never know.
