Passed Transitions tonight!

Published

Well Transitions has been passed and it FINISHED! Thank goodness cause it was B-O-R-I-N-G! I only got a "C" and i'm proud of it! I knew i wouldn't do that hot on this one because i didnt like the material at all, it was hard for me to retain! A little bummed but know it's my own fault cause if i would have put more effort into it i would have gotten a high grade...oh well! Not too bad for 8 days of studying and falling asleep in my books over and over again!

Now onto Repro...i got to get all these exams finished...gonna take this exam on the 25th of this month!

Good job. I too got a "C". But, I will take it. BORING STUFF

SUPER Boring!!! lol i think that's why i got the C i didnt delve into it very much like i do with the nursing stuff, i just kinda skimmed and learned a few things new, most was from my LPN schooling of nursing history! lol

Great job!!! I just passed Health/Safety and am going to take Transitions next. I am dreading the boring material but I want to get it over with while I still feel like I'm on a roll.

Tasha, I was reading your posts, you are a studying and testing machine!! You go super girl! I don't even think a grant with a time limit could keep me as focused as you are! Absolutely fabulous. KUDOS to you! You are an inspiration to me, everytime I get super lazy I just log in and read your posts, and say to myself (what the heck! don't be so lazy, work harder like Tasha is!!) Thanks for posting and helping me refocus!!

HAHAHAHA well thank you VERY much! I get on here alot too and it helps keep me motivated as well! Or someone will go...hey Tasha shouldnt you be studying and NOT on allnurse??? LMAO!

Right now i'm only working PRN/Part-time doing respite care so i have a lot of free time during the day, i make myself sit for 4hrs each day and do nothing but study (10 min breaks every hour) also what helps me is at the very begining of studying something i take the content guide, break it into smaller sections and give myself due dates...then there is no excuse for not getting it done!

Another reason i've been booking it, is because i'm having surgery in October and will miss a whole month, my grant is only good til Jan so i'm on a CRUNCH i do NOT have the extra cash to even pay for one exam per six months so i HAVE to finish! =)

I wish you all the best...if you do get lazy then think about me putting a boot to your tail to get a move on! hee hee hee!

Hi all. I am new to EC and I was wondering where the list is of the books they recomend? The only one I saw was the nursing dictionary and I have that. I was just wondering so that I can start getting the books I need. Congrats Tasha!

when you print off one of the free content guides for an exam...lets say for health and safety...within the first 7 pages is a list of books needed for that exam! Also on the sections it shows what chapters with titles are to be read out of the books for that information...so start with the content guides!

I'm sorry Tasha. I don't see the content guides. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place. I am so confused right now. I am worried that I won't pass these exams. I only got a 74% on the health and safety practice exam and I am only on chapter 3 it seems like it is gonna take forever for me to complete these modules. Sorry had to vent.

Don't panic, mochasouter -- I got a lot of 70s on the practice exams, and got mostly A's and a couple of B's on the real exams. To find your free exam content guides, log in to your MyEC page (https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_College/My_Excelsior_College), then scroll down -- on the right side, under the section titled "MyEC Exams Resources and Services," you should see a link titled "FREE Examination Content Guides." If you don't see it, let me know. :)

Thanks so much LunahRN.....I found it. So then what about this module TCN gave me? Read all of that and the EC study guide stuff?

TCN is a third-party publisher and I didn't use them, so I can't speak to how accurately it follows the exam content guide. From what I've heard from others here who signed contracts with TCN, their study guides don't quite cover everything.
