Cool! I'm glad my tip helped!
Thank you everyone for all your advice! I know I asked a million questions lately.
It really helped! Instead of thinking "Dress strong side first, etc."
Your tip popped into my head when I was dressing a "Weak" side during the Skill portion.... SO easy to remember. Thanks again. :)
Have to press the Kudos button again...lol
Oh and I forgot to add, I have a Per Diem job lined up at a nearby Assisted Living Facility. Beautiful place, staff looks very happy, all self-care. No lifting or turning. Got very good vibes soon as I walked in.
I was actually there looking at the facility for my mom and saw the opening Employment Bulletin Board... Funny how things work out.
Great news! Per diem could be a way to get your foot in the door!
That is what I was hoping for. At least get my foot in the door, and/or gain experience. It is only 15 minutes away and a beautiful "5 star Hotel" kind of interior. All residents have their own apartments, the place is spotless, no lifting, and what caught my eye, the staff looks very happy. :)
Although, I really can't afford to live on a Per Diem salary, hopefully can find an additional position somewhere else in the meantime.
Finally the day had come to take the State Test and I passed.... :)Studied and studied the skills portion all weekend.
A thanks to Fuzzy for an easy way to remember dressing from the weak side, which WAS one of the skills given today. I knew it was dress weak side first, undress strong side first.
But your explanation - Clothes stay on the weak side the longest really helped today.
It just popped into my head very easily...lol
Other two were Lower ROM and Blood Pressure. Whew! Finally done!
well congratulations! I also took my state boards today and my three skills were DRESSING, LOWER ROM, AND PULSE AND RESPIRATION. I am confident i did good but hopefully by tuesday i will know for sure!
