I took my nclex yesterday Monday July 11. To prepare for it I used Uworld and Kaplan. I hated Kaplan because the rationales were terrible, it was very discouraging and I did not feel like I was gaining any knowledge. I did all of the uworld question bank and towards the end I was getting much better at it which made me feel like I was getting ready for my nclex.
Although my exam shut off at 75 I was positive I failed. I went to my car and started hysterically crying bc in my mind there was no way I passed. I had less than 10 select all that apply and my last 5 questions were very simple. I did not feel comfortable answering any of the questions bc although they were general most of the answer choices were so similar. Sometimes I couldn't even narrow it down to 2 answers. My boyfriend took the test with me at the same time and he finished at 75 questions as well but he had 30 select all that apply and his last question was also select all that apply. So I was sure I failed! we both tried the Pearson Vue Trick after we received an email from Pearson about 30 minutes after we finished the exam and it did not let us register but I still was sure I failed!
This morning I checked the board of nursing and both of our names were up there with our license number!! I still can't believe I passed but I feel so releaved! So if you don't get a lot of select all that apply and come out feeling terrible don't be discouraged! there is hope!!
hey I would score anywhere from 40-80 depending on the subject. I think what matters is how you do in comparison to the average score for that quiz. some quizzes are really hard and the average would be 35-45
I agree.. And as long as u understand the rationals.. Anyhow, how about your over all average? I just wanna know how am i doing.. Since you passed with your score.. ☺ï¸
Hello all!
Just wanted to add my two cents! Took the NclexPN on Friday. Used Uworld to study. 85 Qs, hour and a half. Lots of SATAs, pharm and prioritization. Did the PVT 2 hours after test ended. (Ha ha - I know, I know 24 hours but I couldn't help it). Used a gift card with $15 on it and got the GPU (good pop up!). Stalked pearson vue site and bought the QR (quick results) as soon as it was available. Wouldn't you know it was Sunday morning in church?!? (thank you Jesus!!!!). I PASSSSSEEEEEEDDDDDD Y'all!!!!!!
PVT WORKS ALL THE TIME! IT'S INFALLIBLE! 1000% PERFECT!!!!! (For me - ha ha ha!!!)
Hi all! I took my test @ 8am on 07/23 (Saturday)
Checked PVT about 20 times since testing (good pop up: "our records indicate...") í ½í¸¶
Impatiently waiting for quick results. I live in FL.
It is about 1am now... I CANNOT SLEEP!
I will keep you all posted on the accuracy of my own experience with the PVT.
Jenn, I am in the same boat as you. I took my test last week and found out I failed (first time). I did Kaplan (the book) and NCLEX mastery app on my phone. I studied a few weeks and felt ready... apparently I wasn't. I'll reschedule for 45 days. Good luck to you! I heard great things about Uworld as well!
