I just wanted to post encouragement to those who are scheduled to take the exam. I took exam last week and paid for quick results and I PASSED. BON updated site today and it is official!
How did I prepare? I found NCLEX questions all over the internet and studied rationales. I DID NOT pay for any review classes. I did use Kaplan Qbank for 2 days prior to my exam. It was helpful. I highly recommend others to purchase it. I focused my studying on major stuff such as electrolyte lab values, ABGs, Common dx processes such as Diabetes, thyroid conditions, fractures, and common procedures. The test is on basic things a nurse will encounter and they want to see if you have minimum competency to perform as a RN safely. I would also suggest reviewing EKGs and legal issues in nursing :-)
The hardest part is AFTER the examination (waiting for results). If you graduated from nursing school, you should pass NCLEX. Dont let your nerves get the best of you. You all CAN do it. I had the whole exam and not one time did I panic! After 75, I prayed for the computer to allow me to take the whole exam because I knew I would demonstrate competency! Keep the confidence and faith. Best wishes to you all!

Thanks for your advice. I feel like it'll be easier than expected but will also dedicate myself to studying as much as I can. How long did it take to you to receive your ATT? The board of nursing in my state received letter of completion from my school and have all the other materials needed to process my application but have not approved my application yet.
I received my ATT a week after my school sent my transcript (everything else was completed)

So I just recently took my NCLEX. And unfortunately, I had all 265 questions. I was second in my class. I passed my exit HESI on the first time. I got excellent grades on my exams and finals. I did phenomenal on the KAPLAN trainers. But, I was a poor NCLEX test taker I guess. I second guessed everything. I had a rationale for every answer on each question. I left crying. I knew I failed. Who gets all 265 and is there for 4 hours? But I PASSED!!! So it can be done people, with all 265 questions!

I am about to lose my freaking mind! I took the NCLEX yesterday and am dying to get my results. The proverbial blue screen appeared after I answered question #83 in 1 hour and 45 minutes. I will get quick results tomorrow as soon as they are available, but I am not looking forward to the results. The test seemed way easier than I ever expected it too. I do know that I missed one of six med calc questions, and a very simple basic question about ambulation with an adaptive device. I am SO afraid that the questions stayed in the easier levels because I was doing so poorly.
If you have not taken the NCLEX yet here is two pieces of advice. 1) Do not take the test on a Friday. Results that might normally be available during the week when employees of the board of nursing are available will be delayed and drive you nuts waiting for them. 2) Plan a 2 or 3 day trip immediately afterwards. Find something to do to keep your mind occupied. This has been the worst 32 hours of my life. I can't sleep, I can't eat, I am on edge. Tomorrow's quick results can not become available soon enough!
