Passed NCLEX! Advice for You

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi Everyone! I just found out this morning that I passed NCLEX. My advise, take a prep course. I took Kaplan. I know it is expensive but it is soooooo worth it. I got a 56% on both Question trainers 6 and 7. Those are supposed to be the most indicative of passing and I "failed" them both. I finished the Q bank and read the book. I do not have a medical background and my curriculum was accelerated, so I feel like I needed to study more than most.

I had 120ish questions. 4 med/calcs, a ton of SATA and meds. At 75 I thought I was toast. I left feeling AWFUL. Just know that you will probably feel that way. Please do not listen to people saying this and that about how many questions you get means you passed or failed. Good luck to everyone! Just know that this is a really, really hard test so be gentle with yourself.

Rn Beach Girl,

Talk to me which Kaplan did you take?

the 300$ or the 500,

thanks :yeah:

ok..so i sat for almost 5 hours and answered 245 questions yesterday in very hot Atlanta...and the computer shut me off...i know i got the last one wrong because I looked it up...i felt as if I struggled with 75 % of the questions not recognizing either the problem or knowing what the problem was but now finding what I knew about it in the answers..felt like this on most of them. Also, i got so many questions regarding meds i had not heard of...Is this how everyone feels after the test?? If I failed, any suggestions on how to study for meds?? I went through two Kaplan books on my own and 1 Saunders book....my gut hurts soooo bad right now...:imbar
