Hi everyone, this post is meant to be for inspiration for anyone, like myself who has been studying & stressing on taking this micro exam. Microbiology has never been my strong subject and still isn't my favorite, but parts are interesting! I took both practice exams, scored mid-50's on both. I studied another week after exam b and decided to go for it. I just wanted to get started on my nursing exams!! So I went today, took my time (2 hours) and passed with a C! The practice exams are much harder and the questions are more complex than what is presented on the actual exams. Phew! I hope this helps those sweating it... just know the basics, follow EC content guidelines, take the practice exams and you got it! Now onward to the fun and interesting exams!

Congrats! I will be taking micro next month some time. How long did you prepare for the exam? What did you use to study?

Thanks for sharing, and congrats! I have set a date to test March 17th, I finally had to just set a date, I've been studying and dreading it for a month or so. I'm presently in the "I think microbiology is going to put a stop to my future plans" phase of learning.
I used the practice exams, study notes 101, Biology Professor on YouTube for about 45 days while working full time. Capt. Medic I felt the same one... I had to get over it and tell myself I will pass!

Congrats on passing and thanks for sharing. I've been studying Micro for 5 weeks and test today! I'm a nervous wreck because I thought I was well prepared but scored 54 on the form A practice and 50 on form B!!! Well my test is in 2 hours hopefully the practice exams prove inaccurate. I will let everyone.
Good luck on your test Cleveland_murse!! Keep us posted
Hey everybody!!! I'm in total shock that I scored a B on the test today! So heres my opinion. The pretest were more difficult than the actual exam. Definetly study what was on the study guide. Focus heavily on the immmunology, disease process and diseases common to today. It helps to know what diseases are viral vs bacterial.
Congrats and thanks for the info!

Congratulations to you both! Micro was not my strong suit either but few people score over th e 50s or so on the practice exams from what I've seen and manage to pass!!
Passed my Micro test today with an A!!! I'm still in shock. I'm on to the nursing exams.

I felt the same way about my A on the Micro exam! I think I thought it was going to be more difficult than it was, but I was happy to ace it. Good luck on the nursing exams! Keep on moving!
