Hi , I would just like to ask anyone there having had the same experience. My family and I passed our medicals and were interviewed last November 2007 . The consular officer said we passed our interview however there are still no visas available. We will have to wait for that letter from the embassy which will inform us when we will be able to get the immigrant visas. They did not cancel our tourist visas. Any one there having the same experience ., if yes., how long did you wait to get your immigrant visa/ Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the site
Unfortunately there are many in the same boat as you. Retrogression is still in progress with no idea how long it will last. At the moment currently processing visas for a PD of Nov 2002 so may be a long time at the moment until you get a visa'
Surprised to see you had a interview in 2007, what is your PD and in which category are you in?

hello blue sapphire.i have same sentiments with you.we had our medical, interview last july 2005,but because of something bad happened we werent able to complete the other docs.because of that we had our re medical,re interview,re submitted ds250 last june 2007 and completed the lacking docs including our passports last august 16,2007.our pd is april 2004.still no visa issued.i called the embassy and inquired about the status but they only told me to wait for the retro to be lifted. im still hoping and praying that something good will happen to us nurses this 2008.god bless us all.
to silverdargon102:what do you think on my case?is there any possibility that we can get visa this year?is it true that they are issuing visa even your pd is not current or sched to be processed?

visa will only be issued if pd is current. some may get through if they did the aos when the small window opened up but for people waiting and going through consular processing then i seriously doubt they will get visas if not current or not processing their pd

are you still with the same agency? you should have been in the us a long, long time ago with that pd and why all the re-submission only last july?
and if you have to re-do the medicals and interview again then it's no small problem.
