Lubbock was a great site. Excelsior and hospital staff were great.
Hawthorn Suites. It is less than a mile from the Hospital.I got a deal on Priceline for $49/night, much nicer (and cheaper) than the "Excelsior" rate hotel from what the others testing with me said.
I told the OP about it too, not sure where he stayed.
Thank you so much for the information. I will keep that in mind if I decide to choose that site. Thank you for answering my question, I greatly appreciate it!
I stayed at the Belmont inn ( the one that excelsior recommends). It was extremely convenient. It's a little more expensive. My only issue was I was under the impression that the hotel shuttle was going to pick me up from the airport and take me back. If you get into Lubbock after 5pm on Thursday you are on your own. $25 cab ride to hotel. The shuttle doesn't run on Sunday so that's another $25 back to the airport.

Awesome! I appreciate all the information. Since Lubbock is only 4 hours from where I live I just might drive (UGH!!! I only drive if it is 2 hours or less, if not I usually fly.) We will see, I still have to pass FCCA in October .
Thanks again!!!
