I stayed at the Belmont inn ( the one that excelsior recommends). It was extremely convenient. It's a little more expensive. My only issue was I was under the impression that the hotel shuttle was going to pick me up from the airport and take me back. If you get into Lubbock after 5pm on Thursday you are on your own. $25 cab ride to hotel. The shuttle doesn't run on Sunday so that's another $25 back to the airport.

I've been a paramedic for a while now. I've found there isn't a nursing program that would have been as flexible as excelsior was. With all of the bumps in the road and shift work I do I wouldn't have been able to complete a traditional program. I've worked with other medics who have finished in about a year or so. It took me a while longer than that..... Good luck to you.

What study material did you guys use for nclex prep? I bought the Kaplan book and I'm wondering if an actual workshop is better?

I applied to the mpac (Texas). It took 6 months to get a date.

It's an amazing feeling.Everybody was great.

Lubbock was a great site. Excelsior and hospital staff were great.

I've been watching the Sheri Taylor videos and I'm going to order robs cpne guides.

Well.... It's official. My app has been submitted.

Has anybody heard anything about Lubbock Tx? That's probably the closest to me.

What kind of time frame do you guys think from the application date to the actual cpne date? I'm submitting tomorrow bx it has been tough tracking down my immunization records.
