I am finally home after a long weekend in Atlanta to conquer the cpne beast! I can thankfully and happily say that I passed at Grady with no repeats. What a relief! Now to hit the sack and get some much needed rest. The CEs were fair and wanted you to pass, however you do need to be prepared and try not to let nerves get the best of you because no matter how well prepared you may think you are, if you allow your nerves to take over believe me they will. Good luck fellow testers and know it is doable. Prayers for all to successfully complete this excelsior journey where only WE truly understand what it's like.

CPNE is really really difficult to pass, so many many kudos to nursemami4. I took my CPNE in Madison Wisconsin over 2 yrs ago and passed. Only 2 passed, so here is my recommendation, for whatever it is worth to you. I would highly recommend Sheri Taylor's and ONLY her workshop in Atlanta. It is the best and I went to one other. She has an extremely high pass rate!!!!!!!! The online workshop is great to prepare before you get to Atlanta. I prepared for 2 months before taking the CPNE and I set up a patient's room like on Rob's video (utube). I also set up a lab in my home and practiced every single day!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember the "grid". Always go by the "grid", as I know I could not have passed without one and everyone at my CPNE who did not have a grid, failed the weekend!! I hope I have helped you and not discouraged you!!! It is hard but you can succeed with preparation!!

congrats, i tested at grady also last may,and they staff really do want you to pass, they are great there, i would recommend grady to anybody. What a great accomplishment for you, you should be very proud....and relieved.. Kudos Grad Nurse

Thanks for the congrats and encouragement! And YES it was a draining weekend to say the least. I also did sheri taylors in person workshop back in October while taking the fcca bc I was 35 weeks pregnant at the time and wouldn't have a chance again beforehand cpne to take it. I also is a mock with Greg on Thursday since it was included in the in person workshop. That mock truly opened my eyes to what to really expect that weekend! I practiced labs in the hotel with another tester on Thursday and Friday and thumbed through my study guide each day to review. This has been a challenging journey for me so I am extremely proud of myself for accomplishing a goal. I am a young mother to 5 awesome kids and a wife to a supportive husband. I graduated in 2009 as an LPN and was licensed in march 2010. I started excelsior with my first exam the end of 2010. I was pregnant with my 4th child and working full time nights in a hospital. Enrolled in July 2011 and began home health due to the flexible schedule. I continued my exams and found out I was pregnant with our last and 5th (yep tubes are tied now) so I then rushed to meet the deadline for the fcca in September. Went through hurricane Isaac and had to evacuate and take my last pre req exam on another state so I could be elgible to take the September fcca. Barley met the deadline, but did it. Passed both of the fcca October 30 and had my daughter November 12th. Perfect timing lol. Then submitted my application for the cpne and off I went to conquer the beast march 22-24th at Grady. I traveled with my husband and now 4 month old daughter. Studying home with a barely 2 yr old and newborn was challenging but I made it work until my older 3 got home. So to sum it up, I did it and you can to. Put your mind to it and reach further than you ever have. There were days/nights I could cry and want to quick, but nursing is a passion of mine and I was determined to finish and make my family proud while being an inspiration to others and my kids. The Lord had def been by my side and even carried me along the way. So here I am, a grad RN. I too would read others success stories and would think wow I can not wait to feel that joy. I get goose bumps when I hear someone passed. It is hard and nerves can hold you back. Although some go again to slay the beast, I give them kudos bc it's not easy to face it again. Thanks ladies again and I will update with my nclex passing! ;)

This is so inspirational! I studied and tested through my pregnancy and have a 3 month old so I definitely can relate to the studying is hard part.. But thank God i have 2 classes left, then on to FCCA and CPNE! Pray for me y'all! and CONGRATS again! So so inspiring :)

Will def keep you in my prayers! Remember to tell yourself daily that YOU CAN DO IT. I had to walk around saying those word when I felt nervous or doubtful. Best of luck sweetie and keep moving forward!
