Congrats on passing! I'm new here too and i took health and safety twice and pass with a C but i'm happy. My next exam is Repro on the 16. I'm using SG101 for the questions, took EC pactice exam already. Right now i'm reviewing the practice exams and saunders book. We are all in this together it would be nice to join you guys for support and motivation. This is just my 2nd exam and hoping not to fail any more. Work full time in LTC, usually study 2hrs after work and 6-8 on days off. Hoping to take Chronocity after then LS series then Transitional. Will contact my advisior for Information Lit after i take Repro next week.

Wow we are all in the same boat and we can motivate eachother. I have not been on here for 2 days as I work nights and sleep most of the day, but I think we should all keep eachother motivated. If you fail an exam don't give up keep going. No one said it would be easy, but we can do it!

I am just starting to do all the nursing test and feel very overwhelmed. I am starting with the transition test. If anyone can give me any tips on how and what to stdy that would be great. Also how long should I give myself to study before I take the test? What test do you think would be a good test to start with if I decide transition is not the one. Are they all pretty hard?

Thanks for all the info ahead of time.

Transitions is very boring. I was going to start with that also but after talking with others I decided to save for last. I started with H/S and got a C, then Chronicity and got a C. I'm doing Repro next. I took 7 weeks to study H/S and 6 for Chronicity. I am only taking 5 for Repro. I work 32 hours. good luck

Transitions is a good one to get out of the way because it's soooo boring and once you are done w/that info it doesn't come back, really. I took it first and I am glad that I did. The other exams kinda build on each other and there is some overlap between them. I did not think all of them were extremely difficult, they are tough exams but fair, and depending on your background you may find one easier than another. Good luck!

What did you use to study for the transition test? I just feel like all the info is so repetative but yet i don't know where to start to study. Any tips on what to really focus on? How long did you give yourself to study for this test?

Thanks!

The best info I can give is take the practice exams. Well worth the money for most of them. It really gives you a good basis on what to study for. Atleast for me it always seem like I was studying the wrong things. I took transitions first and glad that I got that out of the way. It's pretty boring, and alot of nursing history and important people. I guess interesting to know, but it's really hard to retain all those dates and names and nursing leagues, and who does what.

Is the test mainly about all these historian people? Should I focus most of my time on who they are and what they did? It is very drawn out and repetitive! Should I take the practice exam soon and then study off of that? Thanks for any advice i really appreciate it!!!

Man its been a few months since i have taken the exam so I dont really remember. I know it was a bunch of odd questions. Like Florence nightengale, Clara brown, and a bunch about all the different nursing leagues and who is responsible for what. Thats about all I remember. Maybe someone who has taken it recently can add more info for you.

Oops sorry. Your right, I didnt think of that. Sorry I'm new to this. As I said before the study guides and practice tests seem to help me the best.
