I took A & P this morning and passed with a B. It was a tough test but fair. This being my first test with Excelsior made it special but honestly I'm over it! Lol..I have work to do. Starting on Micro this evening! Good luck to all wherever you may be in this journey! Oh and like everyone ALWAYS says. Make sure and utilize the practice exams! Review the rationals and stick to the content guide on this one.

I think just about any anatomy and physiology book will work, but they recommend tortora I think. I got a black older edition and studygroup101 and used that, but mine was a retake cause I had anp years and years ago...got an A. The exam is heavy on physiology more than anatomy. You can get the syllabus from Uexcel and see what they recommend.
am kind of retaking too. uexcel recommended Fundamental of Anatomy and Physiology-Package • 9TH edition. its just too expensive. how do you get the studygroup101

I didn't use a book at all. You can order studygroup 101 from their own website or from ebay

thnx so much that is helpful. i will order sg101. i will keep you up date, because i am planning on taking the exam in about 3 weeks. have you started the rn program yet. how long ago did you take a&p exam?
Hi Simbby,
I never took A and P before this so it was all new. I used SG101 and the practice exams from excelsior(highly recommend for this test). The SG101 had countless questions to help solidify the information and also prepare me mentally for the type of questions I would face on the test. The practice tests allowed me to see my weaknesses and adjust my studying accordingly. Hope this helps. Happy Studying!
