I just took my RN boards, and it honestly was the hardest test I have ever taken..Now i'm going out of my mind not knowing if I passed or failed..
The test started off, and from the beginning to the end i stayed at the same level to easier questions..The quesitons were repeated in like 5 different ways and it was so frustrating becuase I know that I was getting them wrong..I didnt have any dosage calcualtion questions, bairly any peds or maternity..I had psych drug questions and med surg and thats it..It shut of at 115, and I tell you it just kept asking me the same thing over and over..
I'm sooo upset..I dont know what to do..
Hi Suzanne,
I'm an overseas nurse, residing in Kansas, have been rostered for CGFNS on 09/19/07 at Newyork. I don't have SSN. Have taken NCLEX-RN from CA BON on 08/02/07 & awaiting for result. I heard that can go for CES instead of CGFNS exam. In my case is that possible for CES since i have already been scheduled for CGFNS? Is there any option to change CGFNS exam to CES with the same money that i have paid already for CGFNS exam? Because that fee is not refundable? I have also got the date for IELTS on Sep 1st. I'm prefer to work in kansas.
Please guide me.
Thanks in advance
Lilly
well.. I just found out I failed.. Its not like i havent studied. I took the review course, i studied but the stupid computer did something i never could have thought.
it asked me a question I definately have no idea about. probably i got it wrong then it gave me at least 7, 8 questions in a row from the same exact subject. also i guess the half of the test was meds. most of them were the ones that i never ever heard of. besides, no peds, no matern. , no dosing.
it kicked me out on 75, i mean, i was an A student in college, its just unbelievable.

Sorry to hear about it. I know a girl who was a straight A student and failed two times. She knew what she was talking about but something happened when she took that test. Doesn't mean you don't know your stuff. That is a hard test. I remember I had some meds that I had never heard of too!! And I had a disease that I had never heard about either. It was a bummer and made me very discouraged. Good luck with it next time.
