I know we have a long way to go... But what's everyone's end goal? What dept do you want to work in? I love talking about this stuff :)

I'd like to get my BSN from CSULA and work in the ICU :) (Obviously, I'm open to other departments, but I worked in the ICU for 2.5 years and really liked it!) What about you?

I'm sorry to hear that, Lawnrencencandy.

I have CNM plans down the road. For the next two years, though, my only goal is ADN!

Initially I wanted to be a Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology. I've worked in Dermatology since I was in undergrad at UCLA back in 2000! But more recently I've been interested in being a Surgical NP in Cardiology. I'd love to first assist and see patients pre and post op. But who knows til we have clinicals! Lol. I know for sure I love Derm and my old boss said to just finish school and we'll talk about a job :) I heard people always change their mind anyway. Haha. Any reason for CSULA specifically vs other schools?

I was very fortunate to meet a friend of a friend who is finishing the first year of nursing school at PCC. He gave me the lowdown on professors and course material. As in, what to study, what's hard, what to expect, how some instructors teach, their personalities and style. Very helpful! I need all the help I can get! I wish all of you ample grace! The right door will open at the right time for each of you. Pray!

We are in exactly the same place, Rebeccles. Which schools are you considering for your CNM? I am aiming for Cal State Fullerton - down the road. One hurdle at a time!

Oh yeah I am totally excited to explore all the different departments... Knowing me, I'll definitely change my mind haha...

CSULA is a cheap, close school for which (if the prereqs stay the same) I wouldn't have to take organic chemistry :) I went to CSU, Sacramento which was a semester system, so who knows how that will work out...

I think CSULB requires organic chemistry, but that would be my next choice...

I just bought an UnCalendar (in PCC Lancer Red :))

I wish everyone posted on my school board (Rio Hondo) as much as this one. Lol. Seems like students from Pasadena are more active on these boards! Just scheduled my physical with my school. Can't believe this is all happening. I'm so excited!!
