has anyone applied to pasadena's rn program for fall 2013? has anyone been accepted into east pasadena's rn program? if so what was your pre-reqs grades? mines aren't all that great that's why i am so worried i will not get in because my pre-reqs gpa is only 2.79...do i even have a chance at getting in? please advise...so stressed out im not a bad student... i just don't have the time to study like im supposed to...i am a working full time single mother with two children and couldn't dedicate my time to so much studying...i was lucky if i even got 10 hours of studying a week
That's good news, at least you're an alternate! You never know, spots open up! I wonder how many alternates there are for Pasadena? I'm an alternate so far for Citrus College, but they won't say how many alternates there are or where I fall on the list.
At least we're an alternate for somewhere! I'm an alternate for Cerritos and when I called Rio Hondo they said I was REALLY REALLY REALLY close and to check back after May 3rd when people have taken their TEAS. We will get in somewhere! I have hope!! :)

That's true! Honestly, after getting the letter that I was selected just as an alternate I felt a lot more hopeful too...like wow, it's not going to be impossible! Huge Congrats to you with Cerritos!! Sounds like there's good potential at Rio Hondo for you too! Its good to have options!
When I called Rio, they said I was eligible but not selected and that there were about 50 people ahead of me...so doesn't sound too likely I'll have any luck for fall there. C'mon Pasadena!
Just wanted to say that you shouldn't lose hope if you are an alternate. When I applied to PCC last year, I got in and gave up my spot. During orientation, other students were still considering different schools. Then I saw this board flooded with alternates saying they got in. So you still have a shot. Good luck!

I really appreciate this even though I haven't heard anything yet lol because I think that's a good point to stay hopeful. People apply all over to schools just so they get in but then when they get accepted to multiple schools, one is closer or there's some other circumstance that makes them opt for one school over another, so it works out for a lot of people who are alternates. Great encouragement! :)
thanks ! That is great. What school did u end up going to?Just wanted to say that you shouldn't lose hope if you are an alternate. When I applied to PCC last year, I got in and gave up my spot. Really?? That's so odd considering we have similar stats... I also have over 100+ hours of healthcare experience, did a personal statement, need to work and have a year of Spanish. If you have those too, make sure they didn't mess up on your app!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! That's what I'm banking on.. people who give up their spots to go to their #1 schools. Cerritos is my #1 but Rio Hondo is very close to home and Pasadena isn't too far and I love that area. So I would accept any! Haha.

Well... RHC also factors in how much you harass them about your status when selecting alternates (apparently, they like it!) The lady I spoke to told me to keep calling back, so I had been calling every other day until I got accepted to PCC. She didn't even sound one bit annoyed! Keep calling!

Lol. Not sure if that's true. I've only called twice but hey whatever works!
