pasadena city college rn program fall 2013

has anyone applied to pasadena's rn program for fall 2013? has anyone been accepted into east pasadena's rn program? if so what was your pre-reqs grades? mines aren't all that great that's why i am so worried i will not get in because my pre-reqs gpa is only 2.79...do i even have a chance at getting in? please advise...so stressed out :( im not a bad student... i just don't have the time to study like im supposed to...i am a working full time single mother with two children and couldn't dedicate my time to so much studying...i was lucky if i even got 10 hours of studying a week

A friend of mine just got emailed that she is an alternate, so they are definitely getting some emails out today. Good luck, everybody!

Is your friend in Northern CA? It seemed like on Friday a lot of people in Northern CA got emailed...maybe they have a system by zip code? Or I could totally be trying to analyze their system of emailing to be more complex than it really is...lol

So I just called and they said that they will be notifying people within the next 10 days whether you were accepted, an alternate or rejected. I asked, "so if I don't get an email today it doesn't mean I'm not accepted?" And she responded correct. Not sure if that's bull or not. I really don't get why they do it this way... Seems like they do the random lottery each day?? No clue. Also seems like depending on who calls, their answers change. But anyway, keep hope alive! Lol.

Haha I'm trying to analyze them too! It seems like the ones who were accepted got notified on Friday and alternates today but when I called they said otherwise... Not sure what to believe but I'm crossing fingers for us all!

The acceptance letter does say that the intent form has to be signed and received by Friday, May 3rd or else they will give the spot up to an alternate and if you are declining to notify them as soon as possible... If you look at previous posts, people were notified they were accepted all the way into late July!

10 days...ugh! Yeah, I know what you mean it seems like everyone who calls gets a different answer, but hopefully the acceptance emails are still coming!!

I received an email that I was an alternate this morning. I didn't get accepted into Cerritos or rio just waiting on Glendale. The alternate does not have a number so I have no idea how that works.

That's good news, at least you're an alternate! You never know, spots open up! I wonder how many alternates there are for Pasadena? I'm an alternate so far for Citrus College, but they won't say how many alternates there are or where I fall on the list.
